On the radio post game show, Coach Baldwin told Scott Warras his team was not "ready to play." One of my lasting memories of the Ric Cobb era was coach Cobb often telling then-broadcaster Duane Mosley the exact same thing after several defeats. For me, last night's comment by Baldwin was a fingernails-on-a-chalkboard moment.
To his credit though, Baldwin said it was his fault that they were not ready. I do not recall Cobb ever admitting that. Baldwin did provide a "guaranty" his team will be ready to play today. We will see soon.
The other thing that stood out in his post game radio comments were that because CSP was daring certain Panthers to shoot from the outside, he told those players to shoot. Obviously, he was referring to Vance Johnson and Nze. I have seen nothing from either player to indicate they should by shooting from 10 feet, let alone 3's.
Having played three OT's last night, FIU may be a bit weary legged, which should make for a good opportunity for the Panthers. I mean, our Panthers.

Thank you. Many were wondering at the Arena last night. He looked to be walking fine, so nobody really knew what was going on.

There's just no way to sugarcoat this, folks. This was the worst loss by our program in 20 years.

Wait, maybe last night's game did not happen. After the ISU game, I asked Alexa on my new Echo for the starting time of the next game. She only referred to today's FIU game. Today, I asked for last night's score and she only provided the ISU game score.
So, Alexa totally disregards the CSP game. She always has, and apparently always will. Also, she seemingly has no ill feelings toward the administration, athletic director or all that has gone wrong with the program immediately after each time we start feeling good about it.
If only we could be like Alexa.

Summary of the season so far: it was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

In retrospect, the CSP victory over MKE was even more flukey than realized at the time. CSP is currently 1-10, with the one win having come immediately before the MKE game (the MKE win does not count because it was an exhibition game for CSP). Since then, they have played nine games against mostly D II opponents and lost them all by double digits! Meanwhile, as we know, MKE played fairly respectfully before and after the CSP game.
It just goes to show, you never know from one game to the next.
