This is a continuation of a trend that created Purdue Fort Wayne. Indiana University and Purdue University jointly ran campuses in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and Columbus, Indiana. The two universities agreed to divide the Fort Wayne operation, with Purdue maintaining the larger portion which was renamed Purdue University Fort Wayne. Now the majority of IUPU Indianapolis will be called IU Indianapolis; Purdue will continue to have a presence in Indy.

Bryce Monroe, 11.0 PPG, 2.0 RPG, 2.6 APG, has also entered the transfer portal. Had a good game against us the first go around if I recall.

You're asking the wrong question. The question should be, would the state government spend $89 million on our University for a project like this? Edit: We know what the answer is now. Back in the early 2000's when they were putting together the Klotsche Center expansion project, they didn't have room in the budget to build an underground parking garage AND raze and rebuild the basketball arena. Since the basketball program under Bruce Pearl was committed to downtown - he believed we would average 8,000 fans per game and he sold Bud Haidet on that dream - the choice was easier for Haidet and Nancy Zimpher. So they built the underground parking structure and left the arena and natatorium as they more or less are today.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see some actual building plans, if the financing will be approved by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education and the State Budget Committee, and if ground eventually gets broken.

This is how the University of Michigan and Penn State systems both work. Each school has their own mascot but their colors, fight song, branding is all just a copy of the main campus. GROSS.
I believe this is the first time it's done by a Division I school.

If we wore Cardinal and White, I'd find a new team to cheer for.
