Well unless we re-hired Rob Jeter there's a certain group of fans who would of found something to complain about with anyone we hired. I was excited about LaVall Jordan. The conversations I had with coaches about him were all good. He was clearly a rising star. It's the complete opposite of my conversations with them about Pat Baldwin. |

I would have had no problem if we had hired someone with previous head coaching experience. There was a learning curve for LaVall and there will be a learning curve for PB. Seriously, how is this better than two years ago? I'm failing to see it. |

I really like the Lavall Jordan hire as well, as to what many Butler fans were saying about him and wanting him as their coach after Brad Stevens left to go Boston. I've heard about LJ for the past 5 years as a coach. I don't know anything about Pat Baldwin. I'm not going to judge Pat Baldwin on some coaches that might have said to you. Others I read that are putting their names out, have said he is a solid coach and good recruiter. That being said, if some are saying not the best things, doesn't mean it's true or a fact. So, who knows! |

I have no opinion on the hire at this time. I am looking forward to the press conference to find out more about Baldwin. Lavall made a great impression on me last year at his press conference, hopefully Baldwin does the same.
Curious to see where the program stands with Vance, Alderson, Nero, Newsome, Nze, Barnes, Saddler, etc as those guys are the future of the program.
Assume Baldwin Jr., if he were to transfer to a Milwaukee HS, would be headed to Dominican.

I really don't know anything about this guy, so I am going to wish him the best. I am hoping he lead the program back to the top of the Horizon League.

All I needed to see was that he was an assistant to pmck at UWGB for this to make me less enthused than I already was.
This is how far we have fallen, huh? Hiring the flunky of Tom Crean's flunky? I'm mostly an optimistic person, but I smell Ric Cobb era v.2 on the Horizon. I hope for everyone else's sake I'm wrong...
