IUPUI. Good lord. If Mone voted for their addition to the Horizon League, we better make space on the Fire Amanda Braun bandwagon. Because she should have sat Mone down and said "Absof*ckinglutely NOT" when he asked whether or not he should allow the Jaguars into this conference.
Then again, we know she supported the Horizon League Tournament's move to Detroit, so who knows?
Seriously, does anyone have an argument for retaining Amanda Braun? Any argument at all?

Bluntly, I was less disturbed that she voted for the catastrophe known as the new tournament format than that she had no apparent appreciation for the history that proved WHY it would be a disaster. People make bad judgments sometimes. I can live with that if the decisions are made in good faith and it doesn't happen too often. But making decisions of immense importance without understanding the consequences? That's unforgivable.

IUPUI is an indiana school, but its way down on the list. Heck I'd take Ball State over IUPUI.

What's next for the Horizon League?
I'll take a stab at it: IPFW and SIUE?

UWGB, UWM, UIC, IUPUI, UDM, CSU, YSU, NKU, OU, WSU -- and maybe add SIUE and IPFW?
We're not even a hyphen league anymore -- we're the initials league. Is TAMCC looking for a new league? How about UMBC?
It should also be noted that we are down to one private institution.

I'm guessing UIC & IUPUI will be travel partners.
Does IUPUI even have a message board? Ugh this is the HL equivalent to Rutgers joining the B1G.

The only way this makes sense is if IUPUI was the only team willing to come this year. Even then, I would rather have waited through a season with two less D1 games if it meant we wound up with a better candidate. Oh well, I guess it doesn't matter. Whichever new school we got wouldn't change the fact that we need to start dominating this league to have a chance at relevance.

Well, I do like the fact that the Horizon League will be at 10 teams. Location had to be a major factor in this decision. It will be very interesting to see what will happen in 2018-19. Grand Canyon, New Mexico State, UMKC, Robert Morris or is this just smoke with the 12 or 14 team talk. I also hope the Horizon League gets out of the deal with Motor City Madness after 2018.

surprised it was IUPUI because no baseball Same. If baseball wasn't a dealbreaker, RMU seems pretty close to a no-brainer
