One, I love the staff CC has there and two, I would love Patrick Baldwin Jr. (a top incoming HS freshman) to play for his dad at NU. Go Panthers and Cats! |

Goodman put Baldwin out there because he's connected to Baldwin. I have no idea if he'll be a candidate this time around.
What worries me about Billeter is he never set the world on fire until the last few years. If you disliked Rob Jeter, you'll dislike Billeter's record until 2014-15. Does that mean he wouldn't succeed here? No, we can't make that prediction. It just took him awhile to get it going, and with our impatient fan base I don't know if we want to wait it out.

Assuming that Townsend will not be following based on his wife's job in Milwaukee (correct me if I'm wrong on that), but does that mean we likely lose Lowery and Vergollo? Which likely means multiple recruits, including the one that hurts the most... Alderson... will reopen their recruitment? Surprised to see all of Butler's assistant followed to OSU. I guess you can only get passed on so many times for a HC job before you say screw it, I'm out. Don't blame them. But LaVall is going to have a hell of a time hanging onto that top recruiting class Butler has/had coming in. Especially when the highest ranked recruit chose Butler over OSU. Have to think he's out the door.

I wouldn't think Todd Townsend would go to Butler. He had that nice story at the Senior Dinner, how he followed his wife to Milwaukee.
Most assistants do follow that coach to the new school. Would have to image Ohio State pays more for their assistants.

Have to think he's out the door. Pedon is from Columbus so that's pretty understandable. I wouldn't mind having each of them receiving a call. My guess is Townsend & Omar will wait until the new HC is named before deciding their futures. |
