Other than TJ, who do you want? I would be okay with Billeter As long as it's not Chris Lowery.

Isaac Chew would be an outstanding hire as well! Chew would be my 3rd choice. If he came here and was successful it would bug the hell out of the entire MU fan base lol.

Wow, just looked at Billeter a little closer. He would be a great pick.

Yup, any idea if CBS is streaming it? I've been looking but have had no luck (haven't bothered to buy a TV since moving across the country)

Here's where I'm at with whom I want. It's quite simple: bring in a guy with a core identity who has won with that identity. That was the entire problem with Jeter, which was discussed for years here: nobody knew what they were supposed to be. Bennet's teams played lock-down half-court defense and were patient on offense. Ryan's teams played great D and could shoot the 3. Pearl played full-court defense and pushed the tempo, much like the Gary Watters' teams for years at Cleveland St. Jeter had players who did things well individually, but his TEAMS never had a calling card. This was a critical deficiency, especially at the mid-Major level, where you can't just bring in 4-star players. You need a distinct style of play to recruit to that style of play.

I think Bileter's resume is outstanding. He may end up at Minnesota. I love Pat Miller, a coaches coach with Milwaukee and Chicago ties. Lowery comes with baggage. The others are ready for the next step. I would rather go with a Big Ten Assistant or take my chances with any of the D1 or D2 who are successful.

Overall, I think we're mostly on the same page with what we're looking for...but I'm not sure I'm with you here. What signature do Gonzaga or Wichita State have besides being really really good? Belmont went from relying heavily on its defense to win 30 games in 2011 to relying on its elite offense for 27 wins in 2012. Valpo's D has been the staple of its last 2 teams, but Bryce's first two titles were more on the backs of the offense
