I see the CBI is $50k for each home game!? Holy cow, I can see why everyone is turning it down. As for the CIT, I don't think that is a pay to play.

It is pay to play, but a more reasonable $30,000. At least ten teams have already turned down the CBI. One is committed to playing. The CIT reportedly has 14 commitments already. I do not think the CBI can survive much longer. www.nycbuckets.com/cbicit-tracking/

This #BowlGameForBasketball idea makes sense. Vegas makes sense. 5 days makes sense. I'll be excited to watch it. I'd like to be a part of it. Sent from my SCH-R970 using proboards

There is many things why the Vegas16 will be great. It doesn't start until the 26 or 27th. Gives you extra practice time and fans almost two weeks to plan if they go to Las Vegas. Schools don't have to screw around hosting a game, hiring security staff, ushers, food, etc for a struggle just to sell 2,000 seats.

I have absolutely no problem with some of her quotes in that piece.
I am happy to hear that she has goals set and wants us to be near the top of the Horizon League every season.
However, as many have pointed out already, these tournaments have been springboards to success for a number of teams. If she is serious about reaching the goals she has set I think one of these tournaments would be a great way to work towards them.
I also feel the players deserve it after staying with the program through last season's ban.
If we had finished in 3rd with the same record would she be accepting a bid right now?

In reality, we underperformed this year," she said. "We finished fifth in the conference. We also played the 292nd-weakest schedule in the nation. That's not a season I think merits a postseason."

So Amanda Braun is posting on this board as Gaseous Clay?

Funny, I don't recall Braun articulating these goals at the beginning of the year.
Just know that the new coach must be held to the same standard of excellence.

Why wouldn't the new coach be held to a higher standard? After all, you don't fire a coach to hire a lesser coach, do you?
Or do you?

They have a College Basketball show on Selection Sunday every year and she happens to be a guest on it this year.

My dad -- God rest his soul -- competed and coached for 61 years and is the only five-time, single-sport letterwinner in UW history and he would completely disagree with Braun's assertion that a competition wouldn't be interesting.
Where there's a match, let me have at it! His son is proudly of the same mindset.
By the way, where was this harsh, bottom-line assessment of Kyle Rechlicz's performance last year?
Interesting.
After all, she had posted a career record before this season of 27-62. Unless of course there's something else at play.
I just hope that the J-S keeps digging.

Let's be perfectly honest, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see what Amanda Braun is all about...... She was hired by Andy Geiger, and Lovell was green and catered to AG. Obviously AG scurried out of town after he got wind of "The Youngstown Boys" 30 on 30 ESPN was coming out that claimed him to be a racist by Jim Brown & Jesse Jackson... With that being said Braun has been nothing but a person who plays a Rigged Game. As an alum and supporter I am still amazed she skipped the NCAA 2014 senior banquet prior to APR.... Along with all the other changes of personal & lies..... Hey how's that practice facility coming along? Top 100? Ok, great goal, go compare yourself to the Power 5, A10, mountain west, Missouri valley? There's 100 right there. Someone said she has either fired, removed, or relocated like 35 employees in the past couple years.... This sounds like a human wrecking ball, who can't raise a dime.
