The most talented team in at least five years winds up self-destructing down the stretch in the conference quarterfinals. They likely would've gotten handled by Valpo in the semis regardless. How is this season anything other than a huge disappointment?
Whatever. Jeter will likely get his extension and we'll do the same thing next year. The only question is how much his pay will get cut, because Braun would have to be insane to give him a raise.

Cue the overreacting end of the season posts...like clockwork every year.

Doesn't it make sense given all the chat that Jeter might look at another job as coach or administrator. It seems he as well is in a no win situation. Take the half million and move on to what? Is he financially secure at this point in his life or does he still need to make some money? These are questions he must look at with his agent. Take a 5 year 250k contract might be a better offer now at Whatver U. A buyout isn't necessary. Let him finish his contract. What do we lose? A good young assistant coach with recruiting ties in Chicago, Detroit, or wherever doesn't need but two years to contend in HL. Go Panthers.

He's 46 with 4 kids for Christ's sake! It's 2016. Some of you act like he makes Ryan Braun money.

What is your problem? You can't read? I am stating he is probably not financially secure. Therefore he must be thinking about his future here or somewhere else. You can't count either? Five years at another institution at 250k is one million dollars. One year at UWM is 400K.

Just watched GB take down Valpo. Twice GB went on runs and Bryce Drew waited too long to take a timeout! Fire Bryce Drew!

What do we lose? A good young assistant coach with recruiting ties in Chicago, Detroit, or wherever doesn't need but two years to contend in HL. Go Panthers. If only it were that easy. Not long ago Rob was a good young assistant with great recruiting ties in Chicago and wherever. So who is this mythical coach who will take a bargain basement contract at a school with endemic facility and support issues and yet will magically transform the program? It's easy to say hard problems have such simple solutions. They don't. Hell, Ray McCallum was a successful D1 coach already and his only tournament team was because his own son was a Mickey D phenom. Gary Waters had been a high major coach. He's been to the dance once with CSU. Brian Wardle and Todd K and Howard Moore and Porter Moser never made it at all in this league.

Read the play by play. There was nothing as bad as Jeter sitting on 3 timeouts until the run was 12-0.

Oh please. You are entitled to your opinion but I don't need to read the play by play. I was at the game, twenty feet behind the bench. Our guys weren't panicking -- GB just made some good plays.
Rob has an experienced team with a good point guard. It's just as legitimate a strategy to trust them to stop the bleeding as to "come to their rescue" with a timeout. No matter which way that plays out the armchair coaches on one side or the other can criticize what the coach didn't do in retrospect.
GB showed again tonight they can go on a run very fast. My observation about Drew was obviously tongue in cheek but in reality it was just the same as in our game yesterday. Drew has an experienced team with a good point guard. He made the same calculation as Rob and GB got the better of him. If you could replay it exactly the same way ten times it would probably work out to about 50/50 as to what was the right call.

Chad Boudreau said they lost their composure in the postgame.

3 straight steals and the coach was enraged on the sidelines. But no one was panicking. Ok.
