Dang. '15-'16 could have been something special, huh. 'Still fun as heck to watch. This team definitely gave MKE fans their $'s worth of entertaining games, no? Not so much in the final 10 minutes today... but hey. 'Just wasn't our time. People get tired and our depth wasn't what it was at season's start. The shiny green sport jackets rose from the ashes and prevailed.
Major thanks to JJ, JR and Tiby. Man.... Not the Sunday we hoped for. Win a few more, and maybe we can find some more forwards in the off-season. Until then.... (some day we'll be back in the Dance...):
GO PANTHERS!!!!

The CIT is not always pay for play.
You can pay to get a home game but you don't always have to for a road game.
They also work out some deals for teams to play in their post season tournament for free in exchange for participating in one of the Pre-Season tournaments the following season. It's one of the pre-season tournaments run by the same group that runs the CIT.
Green Bay got a deal like that a few years back.

Sitting in my Detroit Hotel after a wonderful meal in Corktown. Disappointed and frustrated that we were out coached and outplayed by UWGB. It is difficult to digest all that is being posted including Springs remarks. As I looked back at posts from years past the constant is the program needs a commitment to excellence. I am not smart enough to know if the commitment is lacking. My gut tells me it is. I do not like to complain about players. They try their best and do what they are coached to do. I do like to complain about coaching and refereeing. The refs let GB dictate the game. GB pushes, slaps, pokes and holds. It is their style and it is relentless. When I saw the crew of refs I figured it would be a tough night. The crew doing the Detroit Wright State game would have kept GB in check. As for coaching I am utterly dismayed at Jeter's lack of ability to stem the tide of the opponent. It is a weakness that other coaches understand and they take advantage of it. It appears on the faces of his players and their response to adversity. It is about coaching and commitment to excellence. Tiby, JJ, and JR have been fun to watch. Hope to see them have successful careers. Hope Akeem is back next year, he would be missed.

Springs isn't going anywhere. That tweet was about taking his game to another level.
I know, I read it the same as everyone else. But it's not the case.

BTW if you need any confirmation, Jordy and Akeem are trolling the dance team on twitter about a fictional press conference to hear their frustrations.

Akeem and Jordy are frustrated with the Dance team? Or maybe the dance team is frustrated with them? "We came all the way out to DETROIT for THIS?!?!"

We have what we have. It is not bad...alternatively not a push for excellence. That is not all on Rob. What is on Rob is ONCE AGAIN see him freaking out and trying to get attn. of a ref at the far end of the court on a crucial pause in the action instead of modeling coolness and not panic to his team....ala Brad Stevens, Bryce Drew and others that once displeasure is voiced they immediately get the players in the huddle and start diagramming plays. sigh....but hey, we won 20 games this year (albeit two include Judson and Trinity Intl)...reason to just keep doing what we are doing and we will continue to get what we get...nothing ventured nothing gained. If we do keep Jeter I am with Jimmy, give him an extension to help with recruiting but with an out clause. We will need all the help we can get recruiting as our front line looks non-existent next year....Juco's hopefully we can get lucky with ...seen a lot of Burleigh Porte's though also. Hopefully no one else leaves the program in the interim as well.

The end (or possible end) of a season is always disappointing. No doubt this was a year where our hopes were not met. We usually had a very effective offense but our guys too often couldn't hold it together defensively.
As far as Coach goes, it's very valuable to me that we have coaches who are good people and good role models. We sure have that with Rob and his guys. If I was the AD I would think carefully about possibly upsetting the apple cart if a change is made. The likelihood that we would hire someone better is an iffy proposition, to say the least, especially within our budget and circumstances. The checks I write don't have nearly enough zeroes at the end for me to have any influence on this decision, but that's how I see it.
I also remember that last year there was a lot of chatter, even from Wright State fans, about how Billy Donlon needed to go. Yeah, not so fast. Like Wright this year, we have a number of key, talented players coming back who will be seniors next year. Of course we will miss Matt, JJ and JR, but I'm very optimistic about our potential.
