Do you guys think the BIG would ever be interested in Detroit? No. Not because they would have any bias against Detroit -- they simply don't need it. They already have two better midwestern options in Chicago and Indy. (They are playing the BTT in the east -- Washington DC and NYC -- in 18 and 19.) I can't see them adding a third (mid)western option. B1G fans are already used to going to Indy and Chicago and they sell plenty of tickets. There's no advantage to them in going to Detroit. Of course, there's no advantage to us either.

Anybody else see pictures of the video board at the JLA? If not, think Panther Arena pre-renovation.

I know the plan is to move it to the new arena when it opens(hopefully we are out of this league by then), but after seeing pictures of the JLA, they really couldn't have picked a worse basketball arena.

It reminds me of old County Stadium in its dying days.

I would stay away from the concession-stand hot dogs.

Well, no reason for me to take photos now. That picture will probably be fine for the weekend. Not a lot of Horizon League signage. Much heavier on "Motor City Madness" and "Detroit." Gosh, it almost makes you feel like Olympia is hedging its bets and hoping that the mighty MAC comes calling, doesn't it? We can only hope... I heard cell phone reception is lacking and wifi is terrible so you may not be able to send out a picture anyways. But maybe having only 900 people in the arena at the time would allow something to get through.
