The season goes fast when you can only get to one-third of the home games.
I wish that I had more time right now to write, but I'm so proud of Matt, J.J and J.R., a group of fine young men who have represented UWM so well these last four and five years.

Matt, JJ and JR are top quality kids playing in a clean program. They have even done something no one on the roster of the other "local" school has ever done or likely will ever do -- earned their way into and played in the NCAA tournament. I am extremely proud of these guys.
Not that the JS cares. Matt is inarguably one of the best college players ever to play in the city of Milwaukee. Yet on his senior day there is not one word in the Dead Tree News. The JS Sports editors won't give us an inch of coverage they could waste on another Marquette manager story or Brewer third string second baseman feature without being "persuaded."
So what is our athletics administration doing to persuade them? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Austin going into the Tourney with this much confidence could either be a really good thing or really bad thing. If Dixon learned to pass the ball a little UIC would be a really dangerous team.

It took a while to get going but we finished strong and rolled to a win.
If we can continue shooting like we did in the last eight minutes we will do some damage in Detroit next weekend.

UIC is going to be REAL GOOD real soon. McClain should have them as a conference contender 2-3 years from now. Fun fact - Julian Torres was originally a GB commit and flipped after Wardle left.

You're right that UIC has some young talent, 'Holic, but after we talked about that today I slapped my forehead and said "Oh yeah -- but Steve 'Shooter' McClain" is their coach." Let's just say he's no Jimmy Collins. I'll take Rob Jeter in that coaching matchup any time, any place.
