And they are being VERY careful with the camera angles. We'll be able to tell what Linc Darner had for lunch. I'm guessing poutine.

Linc looks like he's had a LOT of poutine since his playing days!

Could you imagine Bill Potter and Craig Hammel out there handing out tickets to this thing in every corner of the city? Sent from my SCH-R970 using proboards Hey, want some pizza? All you gotta do is watch a basketball game and pretend you're interested...

You want empty seats? Tune in tonight, folks, and you will see 18 - 20,000 of them.

Meanwhile the NEC Champ Game is on ESPN2 right now.
Fairleigh Dickinson vs Wagner.
Playing in front of a sold out crowd. Note: Top Seed is hosting that game.
Hey Horizon League, Which game do you think makes a better impression on the casual fan flipping thru channels right now? Which game you think they're going to stop and watch?
Granted their gym only holds 2,100, but looks and sounds good on TV.

The camera side of Joe Louis Arena does have a good amount of people.

Has anyone found an announced attendance for Tuesday's championship game?
Or are they still in meetings trying to figure this one out?

Interestingly, when we were there on the weekend they had pulled curtains over the "end zone" seats of the upper deck, but not the court side upper deck sections. For the semis and finals, the entire upper deck was curtained. Assuming the lower deck holds about 10,000 (it may be lower than that), there's no way the champ game had 3,000 people there.
Put another way, there's no way in hell the champ game had one third the crowd it would have had at the Nutter Center. Because we KNOW what that crowd looks like. (Cue shot from 2014 champ game.)
Packed house last night at the Holy Cross/Lehigh game too in the Patriot Champ game. Notice how several of the low major leagues have figured out what the Horizon had already figured out by going to campus site tournament?

Has anyone found an announced attendance for Tuesday's championship game? 4,312 2,000 of which were likely Valpo/Oakland fans who had to eat their prepurchased tickets.

Has anyone found an announced attendance for Tuesday's championship game? 4,312 Thanks. 1, A championship game at the Nutter Center would have drawn nearly twice that crowd. 2, Bahahahaha! This reminds me of a time when I was working in events management at UWM and Paul Helgren was our SID. We were hosting a women's game at the Klotsche. "Well," I said. "What should we call it?" Paul responded: "Did you count everyone in the building twice?" "Yes," I replied, "and then some." Paul answered: "One thousand forty-six it is then." And that's exactly what went in the books: 1,046.

Maybe the Horizon League was pretty good compared to the Big West.

MUPanther - hilarious....honestly I am not sure we even had a crowd smaller than that back at Baker Fieldhouse. Brutal.
