Kansas home game, unfortunately. Although a chance to see Wiggins in person would be pretty cool.

Is that a rule just for the first round? Because George Mason's campus is only 20 miles from the Verizon Center where they played in the '06 sweet 16. I always thought that we could play in the arena IF we were not the host. I assume Marquette is the host. If Jeter is correct the rule must have changed . In '08 UCLA played at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA, in the then first round. I plugged in the Zip Code for the UCLA Campus (90095). And it is around 45 miles from there to the Honda Center. I'm assuming it's only a rule for the 1st round (or I guess technically now the 2nd and 3rd) since the sweet 16 is a predetermined location based on the regional bracket you're in. I can't explain the UCLA thing or when the rules may or may not have changed... all I know is Jeter ruled out the possibility of playing in Milwaukee today on the radio. So I looked into this tonight and through last year the only rule is you can't be on your home court. Unless they changed the rules very recently I am assuming that is still the rule. I listened to the interview and I think Jeter may have just misspoke or he doesn't know the exact rule. This is likely all a moot point anyway though as higher seeds get preference on the location of games and as we have discussed I can't see the committee putting us that close to home against a very high seed.

For what it's worth, Bleacher Report has us as a 16 seed, playing Arizona.

For what it's worth, Bleacher Report has us as a 16 seed, playing Arizona. They also had us as the admirals for a while... Instant loss of credibility

I was definitely off base when I said it would be a miracle for us to get a 15 seed. Normally an RPI around 130 would scream being one of the six 16 seeds, but luckily this is not one of those years. We are currently averaging a seed of 15.12 on 68 bracketologist websites... www.bracketmatrix.com/Would love to see us get a 14 seed, and I think it's possible with a little luck, aka a procedural seed bump.
