Teams with worse RPI's than Milwaukee's 145 (this RPI is after the Green Bay win but before the Wright St. win, but Wright State's RPI is 165, so Milwaukee's won't change much) that have already clinched a berth are: 1. Mt. St. Mary's - 216 2. Coastal Carolina - 197 3. SWAC - 166 or below 4. Wofford - 161 5. Big Sky - Below 145 6. Southland - If the #1 tournament seed doesn't lose. There will likely be at least 1 other conference tournament upset (MEAC or Southland) There are six 16 seeds, and the six above should take those spots. Milwaukee comes right after those teams in terms of RPI, and although RPI isn't the only criteria, it's a key criteria. Will Milwaukee be this year's Florida Gulf Coast? I agree with the 15 seed projection. I'm not sure why CBS Sports has them listed as a 16 seed. In addition to the 6 listed above, wouldn't Milwaukee also rank in front of the American East Conference winner (either Albany or Stony Brook) as well as the Big West Conference winner (either Long Beach State or Cal State Fullerton). Based on RPI, I think they would get the #2 15 seed, but there are possible upset scenarios in the remaining conference tournaments that could make them a contender for a 14 seed. Let's cheer for the underdogs!

whoops...forgot that part...not until the sweet 16 (unless so many teams from your conference make it that it's unavoidable)

um...i've apparently missed some rule changes (top 3 teams in a conference can't be in the same region)...but unless that's a new change for this year, we will not be playing UW in Milwaukee

It is no longer a rule but the committee tries their best to avoid any rematches. However we have had 1 or 2 in the last 3 years total.

Jerry Palm has us as a 15 seed, playing Syracuse.
Like Gary Waters, I need to eat crow. I gave up on this team a few weeks ago. What a tremendous turnaround. I'm not going to go out and make RJ the savior, but I'll give credit where credit is due. He has simply outcoached each opponent these last 5 games, and gotten the players to play inspired basketball. What a great run.

Looking at RPI and champs and projected champs their are 6 teams below us in terms of RPI, Confernce RPI and SOS. We should be a 15. If their are upsets in the Southland(Stephen F Austin) and the MEAC (NC Central) it will only strengthen our position. If upsets happen in the Big West or Sunbelt we could have an outside chance at a 14.

Hahaha!!!! What a joke. In all seriousness, I keep having visions of a 2/15 matchup between Kansas and Milwaukee.
