Has Milwaukee played Wright State at WSU in the HLT since Bo Ryan's last game in '01? The Panthers held the ball for the last shot and missed. I was sitting by the UWM Cheerleaders. The Cheerleaders "coach" was short pregnant woman. A tall thin younger woman who appeared to be her assistant seemed to be with a much older fellow. I wonder where they are all at today. They were selling liquor in the concourse area of the arena. They were carding people with gray hair, but didn't card me. Shows how old I looked even then.

I can without a doubt say this game isn't even close with Alfonzo McKinnie playing. [/quote] It will be an easy one at GB. It took an absurd performance from Jordan to keep them in the game. Thanks guys.

I am sooo glad that I made the trip. It was an unbelievable game. Great effort by the team tonight. I don't think that TV could've done it justice. We were down by 2, the crowd going crazy and somehow we sucked it up and came away with the W.
I guess like someone said "They shouldn't have booed our Dance team."

What a surreal season. Who knew that we would ever be one single win over Wright State away from the big dance? Or that our RPI would be the most meaningful part about our record???
The HOME LOSS moved Green Bay's RPI/SOS from 52/146 to 60/141 (14-3, 21-6 vs D-I). The Phoenix will VERY LIKELY be headed to the NIT come Selection Sunday.
This ROAD WIN moved Milwaukee's RPI/SOS from 162/227 to 143/214 (10-9, 19-13 vs D-I). It's too bad we didn't show up 11 days ago for that home game vs #322 UIC, which caused our RPI to plummet 33 spots, because we are currently projected to be a #16 seed should we win Tuesday. We could have been a 14 or 15 seed (depending on how the low-major conference tourneys shake out) with just that one single game going differently for us.
A little personal rant: this is why I care about the RPI every game of the season, as well as every game our opponents play at every point of their season. To some of our less "experienced" posters, I hope you realize that you are cheering against the Panthers when you do something like, for example, hope for Green Bay to lose to Wisconsin (or dozens of other ignorant examples I've read and heard from our fans). Unless of course, you WANT the Panthers to get handed a #16 seed on selection sunday... because in that case, keep cheering against our fellow HL teams in the non-conference. /RANT OFF
Bring on Wright State! Can't wait for Tuesday... I've never been so excited to sacrifice one of my precious few work "personal days" I was saving for summer, miss out on making hundreds of dollars doing a job I love, to drive 13+ hours to Dayton Ohio and back all in one day, LOL!
WE GOING TO THE 'SHIP, WE GOING TO THE 'SHIP, WE GOING TO THE 'SHIP!

There's only been one conference title game so far, there's is going to be a couple 4,5, or 8 seeds winning the conference title. And I'm sure the 5 seed from the horizon is better than the 5 seed from the big south the patriot or the summit. Also, To remain ahead of ourselves. I do not believe there is a rule saying that Uwm can not play in the Bradley center. I think the rule is you can't play in a gym you played in 5 times or play if you're hosting. How cool would it be if we can eeek out a win Tuesday then get a 14 seed in Milwaukee against Michigan or a 15 seed against Wisconsin.

That's the reason Villanova only plays a few games at the NBA arena in philly. As long as you don't play enough games there that it's considered a "home court" you can play in the NCAA tourney there.

Don't overlook Jordan Aaron's (or Aaron Jordan as the color guy called him a few times) defense on Sykes with 18 seconds left in OT. Perfect.
BTW, keep shooting Alec Brown, keep shooting.

I picked a hell of a weekend to catch my first games of the year. I was actually thrilled when I found out GB was hosting. What a turnaround this has been.

Keep shooting Alec Brown, keep shooting. An obvious Bill Johnson reference. Here's another: when Jay-O hit the shot with 22 seconds left in OT to give the Panthers a 69-64 lead, this is what it sounded like. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!!"

WE GOING TO THE 'SHIP, WE GOING TO THE 'SHIP, WE GOING TO THE 'SHIP! We are very much alike in that regard. I check our RPI constantly throughout the year and I pay attention to, and root for, all of our non-conference opponents as well as Horizon League teams in their respective non-conference. If we don't choke to Northeastern or drop a couple other games we had no business losing we could be playing for a much better seed right now. I am just glad to be having this conversation though! RPI is a huge deal.
