Win or lose Tuesday, it's been a remarkable turnaround season. Honestly, it was a remarkable turnaround season before that. We just tend to remember the most recent games and forget about early season performances.
You're welcome, Wright State.

Aaron made some ridiculous shots tonight. the 30 foot 3 to put us back up 1 the running shot over 3 defenders to send the game to ot, and a jordanesque fadeaway in ot to put us up 5.

Since the adaptation of the current tournament format for the 2002-03 season, the Panthers are the first team seeded lower than third to advance to the league championship game.

Less than two weeks ago, this team gave UIC its only win of the season in a 22-point home loss and on Tuesday they'll be playing in the championship game. Crazy season! On another note, we handed GB two of their three home losses this year.

I can't wait to wake up and read te GB messageboard. What a performance by Jay-O... and the rest of the guys for that matter. What a fun game to watch.
The Nutter Center is a tough place to win at, but we are playing with a new kind of confidence right now. I can't wait for Tues! Win or lose, at least we beat GB.
Out of curiosity, when is the last time the 1 and 2 seeds both lost in the semis?

Too bad the tournament's not continuing in Green Bay.
We seem to have made ourselves very comfortable there.

JO taking taking to the hole was key, as the Panthers were starting to take too many three's. GB has had no answer for JO in three games.
Kelm Kelm & Matt Tiby crashing the offense glass huge!
Band and the Panthers fans sounded great!

2002, when the 5 and 6 seeds both made it to the final, we've had a couple 2 seeds go down to the 3 seeds, but not the 1 seeds going down and certainly not both at the same time.

Out of curiosity, when is the last time the 1 and 2 seeds both lost in the semis? 2002 is the last time the finals didn't have either a 1 or 2 seed, prompting the current format (#5 Loyola vs. #6 UIC in front of dozens in Cleveland). However, #1 Butler lost in the quarterfinals that year to #8 Green Bay. 1998 featured #3 Butler vs. #4 Green Bay. 1996 was #3 N. Illinois vs. #5 Detroit. 1995 was #3 Green Bay vs. #8 Wright State. But to answer your question, the last time both the #1 and #2 seeds lost in the semifinals was way back in 1987: (3) Xavier 82, (2) Loyola 74 (4) Saint Louis 55, (1) Evansville 51
