This is the worst loss in the history of the program. Not with jeter here...more to come!

I haven't paid much attention to this team this year. In fact, I didn't know they were playing tonight until I started browsing scores on ESPN.com. Looks like they are where I figured they'd be. Until there is a new coach, things won't be any different than they have been. So I don't invest anything emotionally anymore because only a delusional person would think this program will do anything meaningful while the current staff remains in charge.

Just got back from the Cell. Nothing like going 1-5 at the Cell in HL play. Blowouts vs CSU, Detroit, Valpo & UIC.

This is the worst loss in the history of the program. I'd say that the worse loss occurred in March, 2004 to the very same team on the very same floor under far more important circumstances and was followed closely by the heart-sickening 70-69 loss at the RCA Dome to Notre Dame. This was just yet another gong game during the Jeter Era. Could it be the last?

I thought this audio clip (see below) fitting for my thoughts on tonight's "performance" Where we go from here is only up to a TRUE Leader.... And I don't know if Jeter (who OBVIOUSLY SHOULD BE), Tiby, Steve-O, Jay-O- or anyone.... are up to the task. But I sure hope they are. Plain and simple- we got EMBARRASSED tonight. What happened to the Cell's home court advantage? Maybe next season.... I'm still glad we will be there for the foreseeable future. If we can field a great team- the crowds will show up. If not? We will have the scattered 2,000-2,700 (actually attended- not just "paid") crowds we had this season. Heck I will become a season ticket holder again. But not with this garbage we have seen at the Cell this season... We will have to win on the road and win 4 games to recapture the over-exuberance many of us Panther fans had after thrashing Green Bay on their home floor. We NEED A LEADER. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fWyzwo1xg0

Second game I attended with my son this year. Loss for words. I've already detached myself emotionally from this team. I don't see myself attending any more games under Jeter's tenure.

I don't see myself attending any more games under Jeter's tenure. Not even once in a while for a good laugh?

having a front row seat for this shellacking just made it more painful. I did not see this coming at all. as a uwm alum i was embarrassed for my alma maters basketball team. its one thing to lose to Wisconsin by 25, or DePaul by 20- which is several notches below Wisconsin, but lose by 22 to a team that had not won a conference game, and whose wins include teams like Wagner, San Diego and Southeast Missouri St? wordds fail. aaron played ok tonight, but the way uic kept hitting shots and the way uwm played d, it wouldnt have mattered if a prime Micheal Jordan was on our team. we got run out of the building.

Could it be the last? i was at the UIC loss, and at the loss to Notre Dame we came within a few free throws of going to the tourney all my 4 years of college there. yes i was there for the sweet 16 run - i remember watching the players cry on the bench on tv - we -my family and I-were at a Sportszone in Chicago watching the game- as they watched the seconds tick down against Boston College and realizing they were going to the Sweet 16.and I was there for Jeters first year, as he rode Pearls seniors to the round of 32 before getting dumped by Florida. the closest we have gotten to going back to the tourney was 2011 when we lost to Butler in the final. i doubt this team even gets to the semis this year.

While there is no doubt Jeter is the Head Coach and bears much of the responsibility for the team, he is not the team by himself. I continue to believe that Jeter has a good basketball mind, but given the results of the last few years, I also believe he is not the right coach for our situation.
Nonetheless there is no excuse for the lack of effort put forth by the guys who we are supposed to defend and score and rebound. Jeter is mostly to blame but so are others including the players and an Athletic Board who keeps renewing his contract.

This is the approximate 50Th anniversary of Cassius Clay's "upset" of Sonny Liston. 1 year before that my ex-wife to be and I saw "The Ugly American" with Marlon Brando, at the Warner Theater on 13Th st. NW in DC. Brando insists that the Rebel leader is a communist. Near the end of the movie he tells a government leader that he is wrong and the Rebel Leader has always been a communist. The gov't leader says (obviously paraphrasing here) "You keep insisting that we are wrong. Our country is on the brink of disaster and you still say we are wrong. ...". I have probably watched more college basketball games than anyone else on this board. (Watched my first college basketball game in the early 50s at the old Duquesne Gardens in Pittsburgh.) I have attempted to explain things to people on this board, and have been ignored or criticized or ridiculed for my efforts. Sometime, well before the regular HL season started, I predicted a 16-15 record. Though I did not mention it in my prediction that included a 6-10 HL record. I was told that was "a little light" by some of the "experts" on this board. Well, guess what our record is going to be. I wondered if the board members, who continue to live in the past, would be satisfied with a winning season and double the number of wins grom the previous season. Well, my answer is shown in all these negative comments on our WINNING coach, Rob Jeter. IF Andy Geiger had been kept on we would still be playing at the KC (where we should be playing), and we probably would not have had 5 home Horizon League losses. You should play in the facility where you practice, UNLESS your gym is too small for the crowds, as was the case in the Bruce Pearl era. There is absolutely NO reason for Milwaukee to play its games off campus. (Except so "old farts" such as myself can get bombed at Goolsby's before the game.) This not to say I am not critical of some of Jeter's moves. The turning point of this season occurred on 11/19 when Jeter (and most of you board members) accepted a lack luster effort against DePaul. Jeter should have told the team "no shower, keep your unis on. We are going to go to the KC and practice until 3 or so, until I see a little better effort." If Jeter had done that we would probably not have had as many home losses as we have had. (regartdless where we play). A second mistake was playing Jay -O tonight. Let him attend Senior Night get his plaque and Jeter would have made a statement that Jay O's selfish actions are unacceptable. Whether Mary Jane should be legal is immaterial. Jeter should have stuck to the original 6 game suspension. We could have lost by whatever we lost by tonight, without Jay-O. What kind of message did he give to his players who chose to not smoke Marijuana (or whatever Jay-O did)? Finally, when I asked if the game was on HLN tonight I was told that I should go the game. WHY? I am 75 years old. Why should I go out in apparently bitter cold to watch what I saw on my computer tonight?!!!

For some good comedy relief, read the 'Game Conversation' for this game on ESPN.com... scores.espn.go.com/ncb/conversation?gameId=400507145 Later today I'll post our RPI "dump" for even more sh#ts and giggles. I'm guessing the free-fall is in the 20-30 spot range, which this late in the season is HUGE.
