can we please at least draw up a play? like...even if it takes all 19 seconds and it's only a 2 point attempt...that's better than anything else we've done in this situation

To Jeter's credit, he's taken a team with now five serviceable scholarship players to the brink of a second overtime.

Horrible execution at the end of the game. Lets just take this one in OT now. It sucks that you can't even get a shot off.

What a pathetic way to end the game. Same story as the Green Bay game at home. You have the last possession with the game tied and don't even get a shot off. Unbelievable. Where's Kaylon Williams when you need him.
Well, I guess we'll take our beating on Saturday and hope we can beat a winless team at home on Tuesday.
Still holding out hope for a home game. Somehow...

I missed the entire game. I was on campus at night class (funny the game wasn't even being televised on the big-screen projector in the really cool- renovated area of the Union (the concourse that heads west toward the Credit Union and Business Building entrance) themed toward Milwaukee Athletics and called "The Panther Zone" or something to that effect). Anyhoo..... 'Sounds like it was an exciting game (or a "hoot" as we Wisconsinites would call such a game.
It also sounds like a certain shooting guard could very well have made the difference to tip this one in Milwaukee's favor.
OK now- let us get this straight (please do correct me if I missed something obvious about the Jay-O "situation"):
Ricky Franklin (one of my all-time favorite Panthers even though he never made it to the big-time as a player (I think he was a red-shirt for academic reasons in '05'06, right?) and Kaylon Williams get busted with driving a 2000+lbs missile (aka "motor vehicle") under the influence of lots and lots of booze (ie. a DUI/OWI) and get a SINGLE GAME suspension...
Jay-O gets a whopping 4 game suspension for..... We still don't know. That is messed up. If a CEO or even low-level trader or any manager of a public corporation was slapped with a $500,000 fine by the SEC- the shareholders and board of directors would have the right to know- WTF HAPPENED??
Something doesn't add up There is more to this story.... or this punishment is the most ludicrous thing I have ever seen.
If Jay-O wasn't found to be selling large quantities (OZ's, QP's, HP's, LB's or something) of marijuana or the drug he may have failed a drug test for was methamphetamine or cocaine or BOOM!/POW! (SNL Matt Foley skit reference) (somehow I highly doubt that..); then this suspension is the biggest joke I've ever scene.
Thanks for tanking the season Milwaukee Coaching Staff! Or, if you can defend yourself? Please do- and tell us, the PEOPLE WHO PAY FOR TICKETS AND BOOST the PROGRAM exactly why Jay-O was suspended 4x as long as two players in the past who could have killed people on the road?
Please. Do tell. I will apologize if the error Jay-O made was 4x as bad as the former two single-game suspensions. If not.....
Thanks for tanking the Season!!! I am done with hypocrisy and terrible judgement. I don't know where to go from here. I guess let's hope '14-'15 is a better ride and we can eek out some recruits to make up for the losses of Jay-O, Kelm, Malcolm Moore, etc.
GO PANTHERS??!!

They has the Nebraska/Penn State game on. Instead I walked down the hall with my buddy streaming the game on my lap top in hand. As for the game I don't have much to say as I can't fathom how bad we are when it comes to just getting a shot off in an important situation. Seems like it's happened a dozen times this year.

This suspension is the biggest joke I've ever (seen). Agreed. The punishment does not fit the crime. If this is the administration's way of trying to undercut Jeter, it's going about it the wrong way. Rather than accomplishing the apparent objective, it's instead a way of ensuring that he stays at least another two years. Well done, folks!

"Austin Arians scored a career-high 28 points for the Panthers, who were playing without their leading scorer, Jordan Aaron, who missed his second consecutive game after being suspended for a violation of team rules."A-OK! Ho-hum......... Let's keep this whole weed situation under wraps (no pun intended) until the post-season where UWM may very well go on the road and face Valpo, YSU or Detroit- a third time. Make no mistake- Arians, Lyle, etc. obviously contributed big-time and must have helped take this game to overtime.... But with Jordan Aaron? This (and last game) would've probably been W's. We could be 18-9. Instead, we are 16-11. I'm not being hyperbolic- look at Jay-O's minutes and stats. We have been short-handed two games in a row- and it seems to be the next 2 of 3 as well. At least say what the infraction was? Heck, the J-S had no problem dragging Ricky Franklin and Kaylon Williams' mistakes through the mud. Why the silence on this seemingly much bigger "front-page-story"? Perhaps the crime doesn't fit the punishment and the J-S knows it would be a bad story for UWM. Perhaps. there is no front-page story and this is incompetence being meted out arbitrarily (and IMO- completely unfairly until we know any kind of details). Maybe it's just because we suck as of the past two games (well tonight looked very interesting on paper, but the home game implosion vs. Valpo was just horrible to watch) and nobody cares! But I'll bet you a diddly-eyed Joe to a "Damned if I know" that Milwaukee has a better chance at advancing in a somewhat meaningful post-season than Marquette does! ANd Wisconsin is probably posied for another Sweet 16 or Elite Eight.... Oh dangit. Lol. I almost care less now. I just don't get the head scratching-ly harsh suspension and the now 5 day silence behind it- it isn't right for a "4 game suspension" to be completely ambiguous... "Carry on folks! Nothing to see here! " I guess I just hope we get a home playoff game and not lose again once Jay-O is back... At least not until after the HLT.... But who knows how much it will matter if we have to play 3-4 incredibly tough teams all on the road and beat them all 4 right in a row? Our chances are slim now that we have started stalling again.... but who knows? The Basketball gods I suppose.... www.jsonline.com/sports/panthers/panthers-succumb-on-kendrick-perrys-record-night-b99210096z1-246471051.html

I am in complete agreement that this suspension has destroyed the season.
I am fairly certain we would have won the last two games with Aaron playing.
Nothing you can do now. It is what it is and we gotta hope to get a home game and win 4 in a row. At least we'll stay in the state of Wisconsin I guess.

Ughhh our offense looks so helpless sometimes. Considering this has been a re-ocurring theme for the better part of a decade, anyone who thinks it's the players is smoking something good. Thank god we have players get hot from time to time to save us from ourselves. Could not agree any more.

We have no chance of winning Saturday or at Detroit without JO, I just don't see it right now.

We have no chance of winning Saturday or at Detroit without JO, I just don't see it right now. Yep. We're heading for 7-9 and 17-14 in what was a fairly promising (22-12?) season less than a week ago. For the record, 22 wins would have tied for the fifth-most wins in program history. Unless there's some escape verbiage in Jeter's contract with which we're unaware, this just doesn't make any sense. To the best of my knowledge, he still has three guaranteed years remaining. Who pays the price for this heavy-handed power play? The coaches? Yes. But also the players and the fans!
