I'm also finishing up "Sum It Up". I can absolutely guarantee you that Pat Summitt would not have accepted that performance, last night. IF she was UWM's coach the Panthers would have been running wind sprints at the KC, after the game. Maybe Jeter should have hired Tyler, rather than let Teri Mitchell hire him at MU.

You try playing 4 games in 5 days and see how your legs are in the second half against a team that is nothing but athleticism - the fact that the players got down was only evident because they were as quiet as the damn crowd. Read Purnell's comments, they knew going in that they had a major advantage in being rested.

If this is a game played Thursday night, we run them out of the gym. Think about it like this: if you replaced our defense with folding chairs, DePaul wouldn't have shot as well as they did. That isn't a knock on the defense as much as I'm pointing out that DePaul spent the second half taking incredibly stupid shots and made every single one of them.

I don't think Jeter was being defeatist with his comments. I think he was being realistic.

Anyone who is coming away angry about last night's loss has to take a step back and add up all the factors. The worst you can say about Jeter's post-game press conference is that he did the spin himself; there should have been a plant asking questions - O'Connor perhaps - about the 4 games in 5 days.

I've seen the part now where Jeter had words for Bobo. It was in the 2nd half with about 10 minutes left and 8 seconds left on the shot clock. He was dribbling around and even backed it up to half court in that span, to take it to the basket with two Depaul big man to block his shot as the shot clock ran out. It was a stupid play and I'm sure Jeter told him so.

Hard game to win at the end of a busy week. We competed well despite tired feet. On to the next game. We could go on another win streak.

McWhorter, who's averaging 35.3 minutes per game, was absolutely dying out there at the under-8 timeout.

No reason to be angry about this loss.

This is a loss where the only thing to be upset about is that we didn't win. It isn't like we lost because we didn't make free thows, turned the ball over too many times, etc. The players were definitely tired but still put up a good effort. I think the fatigue led us to miss some shots that we would normally make, and not get rebounds we normally would. If just a couple of the plays that happened in this game turned out different, this easily could have been a win.

I saw two teams that really wanted to win badly, it was a very entertaining game. Respect to DePaul for making some really good shots. Can't wait to see the Panthers play again.

already this team is much better than last years squad. they already have half as many wins as last years team, and its not even December yet. Last year we lost by 33 to DePaul, this year by 9. a vast improvement to be sure. whether this carries over to conference play is yet to be seen.
