Haunted Hoops- 8th Grade and below, free admission with costume

Time: 7:00 pm CT
Milwaukee men's basketball team will be hosting Haunted Hoops when the Panthers take on Marian University in an exhibition game Thursday at the U.S. Cellular Arena.
The game tips off at 7 p.m. and the doors will open at 6 p.m. for all pregame activities.
As always, UWM students will be admitted free with a valid student ID, and complimentary bus transportation between campus and the U.S. Cellular Arena is available. There will be a costume contest for UWM students, with the winners receiving great prizes.
Meanwhile, kids can take advantage of a pregame trick or treat on the concourse, hosted by women's basketball. Along with passing out candy, the team will also be distributing free tickets to a women's basketball game. Kids will also get a drawstring trick or treat bag and can have their Halloween picture taken with Pounce. Plus, everyone in eighth grade or below will receive free admission simply by wearing a costume.
The game tips off at 7 p.m. Adult tickets start at just $10.

Has anyone received their season tickets yet? I have not. I called a few weeks ago and they told me that they would be mailed "later this month". It can't get much later!!! |

Might have to pick up your first game's tickets at Will Call. This has happened in the past when season tickets didn't go out in time for the first game.
I wouldn't sweat it if you don't have your tickets yet.

They were handing them out last Thursday at the KC for the scrimmage. I'm willing to bet they will be in your mailbox on Tuesday. There is a coupon with the tickets for two free tickets to any game.

I am thrilled to finally be able to see our team in action. It has been a torturous month waiting for the season to get underway. The lack of chatter on the board certainly hasn’t helped either. Hopefully a good showing tonight, although just an exhibition game, will get the rumblings started and breathe life back into this board.
The silver lining of having such an abysmal and embarrassing season last year is that things can only get better from here. We are picked to finish dead-last in the Horizon, and the optimist in me is excited at the prospect of being able to prove those predictions wrong.

What do I want to see?
A 35-point blowout where all 12 available players see at least seven minutes on the court.
What do I expect to see?
Something far less than that.

It's 16 points right now and I'm not sure of shooting stats but this team is better than I thought. Matt Tiby is something else.

A 28 point win that was more like a 40 point win, but by the 10 minute mark in the second half the Panthers' 3rd unit was in the game. Matt Tiby is a game changing player, and while there's no true point guard on the team - I'm not sold on McWhorter yet - there are 3 players with PG skills and they can make it work. This is the biggest and most athletic UWM team maybe since Pearl, and that's with Wichmann and the Prahls almost certainly redshirting. It's also *very* deep, and while there's not much game-changing ability at the guard position in the second unit, there's enough skill and athleticism to make up for it if Jordan or Bobo has a bad game. It might take a while against real competition but with Tiby's high-major skill set and a lot of basketball IQ I think they can do it in the league.
Also Evan got us free chips on an amazing alley oop so that too.
