Sweet fancy Moses! You have that cover! I wish I still had that schedule poster. I wish I had that media guide. I took a picture of it (amongst other items) when I was looking at the archives in the library. I definitely wish I could find an extra of it for my collection (I do have the 95-96 media guide) as well as the schedule poster.

Big John (6-7, 235) was one-fifth of the MCC's top recruiting class for 1996-97, according to Dick Vitale's College Basketball Yearbook. By the summer of '97, he was the only one remaining on campus ... and then he left. Brodney Kennard, John Gilmore, Kenny Parker Jr., Anthony Holley and Chris Pulliams. Not pictured: Kenny Parker's dufflebag.

Since I'm not a die hard Packer fan, if Harris is playing in the NFL next season, the team Harris plays for team automatically becomes my favorite NFL team. couldn't agree with you more. not a packer fan here either, but everyone else in my family is. they would be shocked if harris goes to the green and gold and I get a jersey. i thought that would never happen!

Harris could go to the Bears, Cowboys or Vikings and I would still get the jersey.

If I remember correctly, this isn't uncharted waters for UWM either. I thought one other UWM player spent time in the NFL. Anyone remember? John Gilmore spent a year at UWM before transferring to Tennessee State and finishing up his basketball career. He then tried out for the Packers and nearly made the team before being cut in the last round of training camp cuts one year. Mike Reinfeldt, former Tennessee Titans GM, played for the Panthers football team in the early 70s before it was cut. Was then drafted by the Houston Oilers and became a pro-bowler. The Panthers also had another player drafted a year or two after the program was cut but never played in the NFL. Gilmore actually made some sweet cash sticking on the Packers practice squad most of that year, I believe he also played in the minor leagues of Arena football.

That would be awesome if you did. I'm trying to build an archive of all the media guides so I'm always on the lookout for any extras I can find. I currently have the media guides from the following seasons: 1978-79 1995-96 2004-05 2005-06 2008-09 2009-10

Did you know that Kenny Parker, Jr. attended Martin Van Buren High School in Queens, N.Y. ... and that Anthony Holley attended DeSoto (Tex.) High School, named after my favorite explorer?

Do you think Kenny Parker was a Van Buren Boy then? Also, if you do have an extra 03-04 media guide that would be greatly appreciated!

I notice he didn't credit Ryan Ellerbusch and BCB for the story. We had the story a day before them. Ryan did great work. That's how the Milwaukee media works. When I edited the Wisconsin Light they would call me for details on stories and then run them as if they were their own. In Madison on the other hand TV, newspaper and radio would always give us credit.

I wonder if he'll be back to 6'7" if/when he makes a roster. Only if he comes back to play for the Panthers. -- signed James Haarsma
