I can't see that streetball is the problem with this team as much as it is that there is NO LEADER on the floor at any time. We have no player on this roster that seems to know how to control a team, we have a lot of guys who seem to work well within a system but we have no one who can run a system on our roster, so until we end up with a guy who can play the control of the offense, whether that be an offense where it is up tempo or the half court we need to have a guy who can run it, and we do not have that, we have a team that has the all the shooters but does not have a facilitator for the shooters.

I remember watching the UIC game and thinking, maybe 2-3 minutes into the second half, that we had not run a single play. It didn't seem that we were controlling the ball for more than 10 seconds at a time to begin the half. Everything was a Jordan Aaron immediate drive to the basket and shot or a single pass to a guarded three point shot or a heavily guarded shot inside. I remember a few off-balance shots going in, but I also remember thinking "we're going to lose this game". I don't know if it was written up that way, but it really looked disorganized.

The team will be better off one way or another without Jordan or Gulley. It's a shame Demetrius didn't get more than 2 years with the program.

(Jordan taking long, quick 3-pointers is absolutely streetball) So, when Panoske shoots an off-target 3 with 28 seconds left on the shot clock and less then a minute to go in the first half is that "streetball"? Or does that not count since he's white??? So tired of the racial code words. Panoske is a Freshman still learning to play; Jordan is a Junior whose team went deep into the JUCO tournament. We can call it AAU ball if it'll make you feel better.

My point is games where this team has looked better (for a lack of better terms) have been when Aaron was not on the floor. 1. CSU game at home he was on the bench with foul trouble. 2. The Detroit game 1st half, he sat, and we made a run to come within 3 after being down 22-6.
He has also been streaky...I mean in the South Carolina game I was in love with Aaron, it looked like we had a player, but then he got cold.
Its not streetball, but lack of control. Too many times does our ball handler, not handle the ball. I dont know how many time I have yelled from my seats because the other team backtaps him when he dribble into traffic. He is a good player, but would be better at the 2 and not bring the ball up the court.
I also agree, there is no leader. Haggerty has tried to be that when he is on the floor, but for whatever reason it hasn't been enough, or the rumors that the locker room is divided are true.
For what its worth, I'll still buy season tickets next year, and I'll still support the program. Its a wash in my book, it was bad year, and hopefully it is not a trend.
