That's a good point... I keep on forgetting that it was a one year waiver. My line of thought is that they wouldn't have made any improvements (i.e. the new scoreboards) if it was just a one year thing.

Deja Vu: www.uwmpanthers.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/111198aab.html"One of the biggest strengths for the 1998-99 season is our return to campus", said Cobb. "It's going to give us a better sense of home court, while bringing more student and administrative support to our games. I think this move is going to be a tremendous asset to the program."

For the record, Jeter never said that the return to campus would be of any benefit to us.

For the record, Jeter never said that the return to campus would be of any benefit to us. "We're very excited to be returning to campus," Milwaukee men's basketball coach Rob Jeter said. "What a great opportunity to bond with our students and campus community and to create an unbelievable atmosphere for all of our supporters. I know everyone is committed to making this move work and making it something great for our program now and in the long-term." www.uwmpanthers.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/062612aaa.html

If he responsed with "Are you sh*ttin' me?! We're moving back to that dump? Thanks douchebag! When is your contract up again?" that would cause much more of an uproar. The news is bad enough and his actual feelings won't help the situation at all. I would be shocked if he was ACTUALLY happy with the move.

No one who has been with the program since before May 2012 is happy with the move.

I'm not saying this is the case, but let me throw this possibility out there...
Maybe Geiger knows that by moving this season to the KC, the AD will save significant money, and possibly even turn a profit for men's basketball. If the savings holds true, and even moreso if a profit results, he could then approach people after the season and say...
Look at the numbers. Having basketball on campus is what we need to do fiscally. It saved us $____ from having games at the U.S. Cellular. Now we need a new arena, on campus, that will generate even more revenue for not just men's basketball, but athletics as a whole. ...
Maybe he's taking a calculated wait and see approach this season so that he can further justify a new arena/convocation center. Just a thought.

He has been all year.
