So I can't help but wonder, when do we start donning paper bags on our heads for home games?

Student Section has been contemplating it for about a month now. We're waiting to see how we do at home Saturday. If we get blown out, it may be paper bags for the rest of the season

It'd be one thing if this was a down year like Jeter's second year. This is something very different.

Really? I'm not suggesting its a noble gesture or anything, but I think its a simple and effective method of expressing disappointment. Far better than dropping f-bombs and screaming at players and coaches, which is another method I've seen utilized.

Agreed. Profanity and verbal abuse have no place either.
Bags over the head is still bush and reflects more poorly on the people that are participating than on the program.
The program needs no help in embarrassing itself and the University. Just my opinion.

Perhaps instead of pulling out the grocery bags the students could sit/stand in complete silence as a protest?

Players and assistant coaches should wear bags also!

To be clear yuhayden, this thread was started in jest. However I do hope the few fans remaining make their disappointment in the program's prolonged downward slide known (in a productive fashion, of course).

Someone close to Jeter needs to have a sit down with him and tell him to do what is best for the program and walk away. Just like Skiles. Maybe for a one year buyout?

We thought FREE tickets/pizza/shirts and even a bus ride and piss poor student turnout over several years, was already an example of the students protesting.
signed, season ticket holders from the US Cellular Arena to present.

With $1.9 million left on his contract? Not a chance. I couldn't have dreamed up a more absurd contract if I tried. Jeter isn't a good coach but he's not stupid. How long have people on this board made the point that he acts and coaches seemingly without a care in the world? This is exactly why.

bags are a funny time honored tradition for sports fans in our position. I don't think it would be bush or reflect poorly on the fans, program or university in any way.
