How much worse can this get before they cut Jeter loose? Pretty apparent this team has totally quit on him... This season is lost and it's not even Christmas.... At this point I truly wonder if I will actually hit up another game at all. I'd like to say I will, but I am really thinking that staying away might be the only way to get them make a change. I have serioulsy never felt like this for Milwaukee basketball, but I am just fed up fellas. It is time to take this program in a new direction, and not to wait until the end of the season. I don't even want to think about what the game will look like against Bucky.... I am worried it will be a total debacle... Fire Jeter Now!!!!!!!!

Bo will do everything he can not to embarrass one of the members of his illustrious coaching tree.

In those games when it is obvious Wisconsin will crush us, Bo takes it easy against Jeter, the score will not reflect the actual game. What happened to the team that went to OT with South Carolina?
As bad as it is, the athletic department simply doesn't have the funds to eat the contract. Jeter is here to stay for the duration of the contract. Let's hope the team can turn things around.

When will the athletic department realize that the buyout money for Rob Jeter’s contract might pale in comparison to significant descreases in:
• Attendance of games
• Revenue generated by the men’s basketball program
• Donations and fundraising for athletics and the university as a whole
• Quality of school spirit and student life at the university
• Fundraising ability for a new convocation center

I hope (but remain unconvinced) that the department will not make this decision based solely upon the current balance sheet. The right way to approach any capital expenditure is to forecast upcoming revenues, expenses, cash flows, and debt structure. Only then can you accurately determine the cost-benefit of the considered action.
Bottom line is that if you always wait until everything is perfect to make a decision, you will be missing out on current opportunities.
Geiger and team better damn well be considering what the costs and benefits are aside from Jeter's contract when (and if) this is being considered.

Five 16-plus-point losses already in the first 11 games, matching the number in the final year of the Ric Cobb era (8-19).
The program record is 11 in 1994-95, Steve Antrim's final season (3-24).
I think this team is capable of reaching these historical depths.

Can they reassign him duties? Sure, it might be silly having a $400K Custodian, but it's better than having him completely ruin the program.....

Program is ruined after he dismantled the coaching staff and players started leaving. Not Good.

Hadn't been done after the t-tech game. I guess we'll ride it out, sucks though.

It's time to realize that this school could care less about winning or their fans.... Very obvious now... And as far as I'm concerned they can stick it... I won't spend another dollar of my money for this joke.

The OT game against South Carolina is a good place to start. I hate it when I'm right, but I said at the time that the SC game could have lasting effects on our teams psychology. Jeter has been as streaky of a coach as I have ever seen. He appears to know how to keep momentum going both good and bad. I don't doubt that even with the thin squad he has now, that he can make a 2nd half run in the horizon conference, similar to the 2010 season. That being said, his inconsistencies as a coach should prevent that from saving his bacon this time around.

That 35-57 record against non con teams prob has something to do with Jeter coached teams generally getting off to a rocky start. 35-57, what a conference RPI killer. I wonder how many 5 game winning streaks and losing streaks we have gone through in the Jeter Era. Probably quite a few.

Simply, it's time to move in a different direction. You can argue that hiring a new coach doesn't guarantee success, and you'd be right. But the trajectory this program has been on both on the court and in excitement level is completely unacceptable...
