Very nice student crowd at the KC! Very good. Need to get them more organized in cheers and such, but I was happy to see as many students as we did. Was also cool seeing them get loud with Welcome to the Jungle. We won, and most of them prob didn't know/care that Parkside is D2. They saw a W and they will come back. I hope

Outscored them 44-29 in the second half. We'll be fine. (Niang is the best player on the team.)

Glad to see no one is upset with student attendance tonight. I take pride in leading the student section this year and the people who said they'd show up did. Friday's student section should be bigger

Do we know if the video boards are game ready? Also, they and the secondary scoreboards with fouls/points, were hidden behind the rafters. What's the reason for that?

Highly unlikely they were ready yet. They were higher up so as not to distract from the old/current boards. By Friday, I hope, they will raise the old boards and lower the new ones.

Highly unlikely they were ready yet. They were higher up so as not to distract from the old/current boards. By Friday, I hope, they will raise the old boards and lower the new ones. I put this on my board but will repost here: The scoreboards/video boards were installed, however they are missing parts for the pulley system and are just chained in position right now. They work excellent - I saw a demo of one of the video board that just looks brilliant - but the pulley system still needs to be put together. Engineers will be working on this. ________________ Fans will be delighted by the video boards. They have a setup that will carry most of the box score numbers during the game and play some pretty rad videos during stoppages. The pulley system will be finished this week but they weren't sure if the boards would be ready for Mary. This week is very much a practice run for more than just the team. At the Cell all this stuff was taken care of by WCD people so Milwaukee Athletics people are learning how to work their own programs etc. _________________ I was very, very encouraged by the student turnout. By halftime we had about 800 students there, with the south endzone full and the north endzone about 80% full. The north side was quiet for much of the game, but the south end was loud for the entire second half and the whole student crowd was on their feet for the final 5 minutes and change. Jump On It has to be an every-game thing. I'd even have Brainerd do a lead in like "Students, it's time to Jump on it!" - about half the student crowd was getting in on the dance and having a good time. I really do think this has the potential to be our own Jump Around.

It's uproariously funny to me that with the complex wiring and advanced technology of these state-of-the-art scoreboards, it's the goddamn pulley system that's holding everything up. (So to speak.)

student turnout was great, very happy to see that for sure on game one, and that they stayed past halftime even! As far as the rest, there is a lot of work to do.....team needs to learn how to shoot a free throw (for the 3rd year in a row), defense is spotty at best, and not sure that the offense got going until about 7 mins left in the game....good thing there is basically one more exhibition game friday i guess.....

With all the camera's on cell phones, one would think someone could take a few pictures and post on the board for us members that dont make it to campus often....pretty please...

www.parksiderangers.com/roster.aspx?path=mbball&According to the parkside website they were picked to finish 6th in the great lakes. Saffold (#34) and Mach (#4) look like they are returning players that will likely lead them in scoring. I saw Mach play a few years ago in the playoffs and he is a solid ballplayer, if he were a little quicker or taller I believe he would've gotten D1 looks. I agree that Mach is an impressive player who was hidden playing in Antigo, and likely would have gotten D1 offers had he waited to commit. Not the quickest player for D1, but made up for it with outstanding arm length and great anticipation. However, he tore his ACL last January, and won't be back for awhile. He should be fully recovered when they hit conference play.

I think you are bit high on the student turnout. While I was the first on here to say it was a good turnout, it was about 400 students.
