THIS JUST IN!......UWM is the only team to have injuries! What does this have to do with the price of tea in China?

I think Ricky was the biggest recruit landed by Jeter. Feel free to look back at all the talk on this board of how he would be at Madison if he only had the academics to get in. Flowers is really 1b. I think Gentry, Young and K. Williams round out the top 5.
3 of those you can call clear cut busts and Franklin and Williams both had major short comings that were never really improved on IMO. I will give Jeter that fact that he only had Williams for 2 years but 5 years of Ricky and he never became the players many had thought he could become.
As for the top players recruited by Jeter and staff my list would be:
Hill Franklin Williams Smith Eayrs
Hill turned into a beast over his time going from a jump shooter scared of the post to an unstoppable force around the basket. Had he redshirted like the staff should have done he would have been near the top of the lists of greats in our program IMO.
Ricky and Kaylon are similar that they both were great leaders but full of warts in their games. Ricky gets the nod in my mind for being a 4 year player.
Avery and James are also similar in that they both did things on the court that people never saw coming. Off court issues and injuries slowed them but both did things no one expected of them during their tenure.

Injuries are a big problem. How many of these guys had injuries? A lot. Maybe things like the Hill and grueling practices need to be toned down to limit these problems. Give it up already. We get it the training group needs to be upgraded. But if Jeter and his staff can't tell if a guy is hurting and keep him off the court or figure out a rotation so that your top players don't play 40 minutes a game that is on them.

Well that's what I'm pointing to. The trainers don't run the Hill or practices, the coaches do. With all the injuries, perhaps it's time for the coaches to reevaluate how hard they work players in practice and preseason. How many of these injuries happened in a game? Kaylon's knee tendinitis is the only one that comes to mind. That's what I meant by "toning down," not again pointing to the training staff. Although I still want Dave Beine back.

Dave Beine was a great guy, and probably a better trainer. According to his sister, he's loving life right now!

I believe, although he didn't end up coming after he verbaled, that the answer to this question is Calvin Godfrey. We shall see as time goes on if my prediction turns out right.
Injuries are tough...you can have great training and facilities etc. and still get serious ones all the time...ask any MU fan. Hard to blame them on any one thing or person...good trainers help obv.

Great point, jivitz.
And Marquette certainly had its fair share during this season ... and all at one position -- Otule, Gardner and Wilson.
Of course, that didn't stop the Golden Eagles from going to the Sweet 16.
By the way, is Godfrey going to MU?

Not sure, I believe there may be some mutual interest but we don't really have the room for him in his class.

According to Calvin Godfrey's twitter page he has signed with LSU....not sure their scholarship situation, but it takes away at least one id imagine, which may help us land Pat Swilling Jr.....haven't seen it on PANTHERU yet, but i believe we had him in last week or this weekend.....

I'm told Pat Swilling got into some trouble before his Juco, the kind of trouble that makes our coaching staff steer clear.
