And it is a fact that Haarsma was the hot hand scoring 25 points in 30 minutes. With the lead dwindling, it makes way more sense to put your best player last night on the floor. You said it was ridiculous for him to say that Haarsma is not good with full court pressure and that Kelm is a better passer. Both of those statements are true. That is all I was responding to.

Then why use him in the final 32 seconds if he didn't play the last 9 minutes?
Haggerty was out there and it doesn't seem like he deals with pressure situations very well either. Plus he is half the player James is.

Was it a homer call at the end or did Meier really get fouled?

Was it a homer call at the end or did Meier really get fouled? Coach Chip asked me that same question at Goolsbys. I was on that side and it looked pretty obvious to me...talked to JJ and he said that Tony got decked....Tony might have flopped a little, but those refs were calling those kind of fouls late...

Too bad Boudreau gave a ridiculous answer that Haarsma is not good with full court pressure and that Kelm is a better passer. The guy had 25 points in 30 minutes and goes unused until there was 32.3 seconds left in the game. To your point, Haarsma only played 26 minutes.

This team can't stand being comfortable, as Detroit and CSU demonstrated. But they played with great heart and toughness last night. It may not have been pretty, but the result was beautiful. I got to look at it like you are, because I was pissed off after the game. Turnovers, your hot players not in the game and Gulley shooting 3's with 27 seconds on the shot clock up by 7 with 3 minutes to play.

Paris's 3 attempt was a perfect example of a turnover that is not called a turnover in the box score. Same with situations where you dribble into a trap and have to call a time out. That really hurt us at Detroit, when we had none left at the end when we really needed them to stop the bleeding, give our guys breaks and set up plays.
And I have said it a million times -- you have to be aware of time and score, especially in the waning minutes. Honestly, our guys are not very good at it. Some of it comes down to the fact that by that point in the game Kaylon, whom we rely on so much, is usually exhausted. He was defending Tre Harmon much of the game, and that's a load in addition to his point guard responsibilities. When Kaylon is tired it affects the whole team.
On the bright side, I thought our press break looked good last night. Most of our turnovers actually happened in the half court or off the inbound. If we got the ball inbounded we usually were able to pass through the press well enough using our bigs.

Haggs played well last night. Played well at Detroit too, and in general has been giving us good minutes. He's limited skill-wise, but he brings energy and length every time he steps on the floor. He's the ultimate "program guy" and has deservedly gained a lot of trust with the staff.

I also don't think a lot of people realize that Haggs is our best post defender other than Kelm.

Many would disagree with that and say James Haarsma is tough as nails in the post.

I have to give credit to the team for hitting the free-throws. 33-40- 82.5%

I also don't think a lot of people realize that Haggs is our best post defender other than Kelm. Yet, the lead went from double digits to a tie game over the last 9 minutes with Haarsma out of the game. Charlie Lee and Tre Harmon didn't seem to have much of an issue driving to the hoop against Haggs and Kelm.

Wow he really hammered him, I can't understand why their coach was so upset.
If the refs didn't all conspire against Milwaukee, you would beat all your opponents by 40 points.
