As I was leaving the Cell', I saw an interview with Gary Waters on the in house TV. Was that on TV 32? If so, what did he say? He didn't seem to talk long.

The Arena runs the video feed from the press conference (court level behind the benches) on all the TV's afterward. It's standard procedure - anyone can see the press conferences if they like.

Read JS article on the game and two things: 1. Gary Waters, MAJOR crybaby, and 2. Whose side is Tom Enlund on???

However, it's easy to see in Todd Rosiak's writing on MU or Jeff Potrykus' writing on Wisconsin that these journalists are fans of the programs they cover.

1. Thought that Gary D'Amato was covering UWM? 2. Had no problem with the Enlund Article. 3. There have been generalizations about UWM (including some by myself.) BUT, UWM does NOT handle full court pressure. Contrary to what the article said I remember several 16 point leads, not just one. Multiple 16 Point Leads and we are tied with 1.1 seconds to go?!

Small crowd, exciting game. Just keep winning. Paid crowd- 3,643. It was a nice size crowd. I wonder why many didn't come to the game.

I'm glad Bill Johnson asked Coach Boudreau in the post-game, why James Haarsma wasn't in the game in the final minutes after coming out with his 4 foul at the 9:45 mark of the 2nd half.

Too bad Boudreau gave a ridiculous answer that Haarsma is not good with full court pressure and that Kelm is a better passer. The guy had 25 points in 30 minutes and goes unused until there was 32.3 seconds left in the game.

Maybe they like Kyle Kelm as point guard.

Kelm is one of the better passers on the team and is far and away our best post player passer. That's just a fact.

Kyle's turnover was only half his fault. He did the right thing by bringing the ball over half court, but a guard (we had several on the court at that point) never came out to meet him for the ball, and nobody called out the pressure coming from behind.
As for the general proposition, Kyle is much more secure with the ball than James is in a pressure situation where passes are necessary. James's is passing ability is... inconsistent.
This team can't stand being comfortable, as Detroit and CSU demonstrated. But they played with great heart and toughness last night. It may not have been pretty, but the result was beautiful.
Three more regular season games and only one more home game. It all goes so fast. Enjoy these guys while you can.

With the lead dwindling, it makes way more sense to put your best player last night on the floor.

"and nobody called out the pressure coming from behind."
That's what bugged me. He was right in front of our own bench. No one was letting him know he had someone coming up on him.
