Youngstown's bench: 3 shots attempted, 3 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 fouls. Allen is going to have to play 40 outstanding offensive minutes for them to continue to keep Milwaukee at arm's length.
He has outscored the rest of his team combined.
Anyone who thinks this falls on our defense needs to take a deep breath.

Yes, giving them a 4-point opportunity is very sound strategy. Don't even let them get the three off. Slow the pace WAY down. That's what gotten them success thus far. It's not that the defense is horrid, it's just well below what I've gotten accustomed to with this team.

We need to get Gulley and Meier going from 3 to open up the lane. We had some nice early high-low baskets, which dropped off once we went cold and YSU started compacting the defense.

Let's hope Blake Allen cool's off. It's not like the Panthers are playing a bad game.

They aren't shooting well enough to match YSU shot for shot, they have to use their defense.
I should add from 3. You never know which Milwaukee 3 pt shooting team will show up from one game to the next.

It would really help if they could do what they did against GB at home: after giving up a lot of points in the first half, clamp down like mad in the second half.

Meier is 1-2 and Gulley has only taken 1. If either heats up things will get interesting.

Of course, UWM is shooting over 50% from inside the 3-point line, because Youngstown is soft.

Kelm did that in the first half and it was instantly over-the-back.

Weak perimeter passing from YSU. We have 3 fastbreak hoops in this game (2 were dunks!) plus the Kelm and-one that never was.

THAT's what I'm talking about on defense.
