Of the 2 games on this trip this is the one we should win although Youngstown has been playing well this year.
Hopefully this is just part 1 of a 2 game road SWEEP! ;D

This is definitely the road trip where we can solidify ourselves as the leader of the HL. Beat the Penguins and the Vikings and we will be sitting pretty.
Just glad some of our players, especially Ryan Allen, will get a few days to rest/heal up for this next road trip.

These are going to be two VERY difficult games. Come out 0-2 and the race is wide open. Leave 2-0 and we're well on our way to a second straight conference championship.
Let's go Milwaukee.

I asked this in the Detroit game thread, but some might not have seen it. Does anyone know why Lonnie hasn't been on the bench the last couple of games?

Watching the YSU-Butler game on the HLN (I'll be mostly watching Cleveland State-Valpo) and the Penguins literally never met a 3 they didn't like.
They might just shoot 40 3s today.
The absolute key to beating this team is defending the perimeter.

The last time we started 7-1 was 2008-2009, which made me do a double take.

Double-double-take- Wahh? That wasn't a terrible season but.... (wasn't that the season that ended at Cleveland State?).

I was expecting to dig through to the Pearl days. We finished 11-7 that year.

Leave 2-0 and we're well on our way to a second straight conference championship. We definitely put ourselves in very good position, but too much season left to say that we are well on our way. Valpo is only a game behind and they are starting to play well again. We still have some tough games on the road.

So i thought the reason for the Friday night league games was to do the Horizon League game of the week on espnU, is that not the case? If not then why are they doing this Fri/Sun setup? I think its stupid personally stick to Thurs/Sat

Well, HLN probably wants it so that they don't have all of their programming on the same day competing with itself.

Fun fact: Jimmy Collins will be the color analyst for this game on ESPN3
