Glad we got to rest some guys tonight. Detroit is athletic if nothing else. It will be a faster game if we let Detroit play it their way.

It will be a faster game if we let Detroit play it their way. The good news is that we won't. We're going to need Ryan Allen (apparent ankle sprain) at as close to 100 percent as possible. Detroit plays above the rim.

Win this one and I think we will be the only 1 loss team left in the conference by the end of the weekend.

Detroit is finally playing better, and they simply have more talent than anyone in the league. Saturday night becomes the biggest game of the early conference season. Win this game and the rest of the league will be chasing us. Long way to go, obviously, but that's the position you want to be in.

Back in the day, Detroit used to bring a lot of fans.

Big, big game and I hope for a good crowd to get behind the Panthers. Detroit still scares me because of all the talent they have, especially Eli Holman. Panthers are going to need to be physical in the post, especially on defense along with boxing him out on the boards. Milwaukee may need to bring help to contain him IMO (this is assuming that Detroit actually gives him alot of touches in the paint...but we will have to wait and see).
Go Panthers!

Eli doesn't scare me and I'll tell you why:
THEY WON'T GIVE HIM THE BALL!

All I can say is DO NOT start talking sh** to Eli Holman at a frat house party.
Don't tell him that he's "too drunk" and- "gotta go". That Giant will smash your facial bone structure six ways to Sunday and there is no silver lining..
Hell, if I was in his position I prob. would have thrown a few... then gotten my head kicked in. Who knows... who knows...
Bottom line- STOP Holman (on the court- the court of public opinion is another matter)- or he will stop you. GO PANTHERS & BEAT DETROIT!

The Panthers are going to have be smart as well as physical. Getting good position on the blocks and dogging the perimeter players to make entry passes as tough as they are rare. The Panthers may not have a single player who can stop Holman but we do have a lot of players to run at him. Hags, Wolf and Harris should get some chances tonight. If they can get good post position and keep their arms straight up so they don't give up too many quick whistles they could make a nice contribution off the bench in limiting the damage Holman does. It was a lot of fun to watch Eli and Ant Hill go at it last year. This year will be a different challenge. Hopefully our bigs will be up to the gigantic challenge that Holman presents.

Ray Jr. is a nice player, but to me he gets more love from the officials than he has earned.
I hope he doesn't get too much of the celebrity whistle tonight.
I'm also hopeful that our guards force him to work his tail off on d to try to wear him down a bit.
I think this would be a nice night to reverse the field posting up with our guards while drawing Eli out onto the perimeter.
This would take advantage of the relatively srong shooting and ball handling of our forwards as well as the size advantage of our guards.
At the same time it would help negate the Titan's strengths in Eli Holman's size and power as well as the speed and athleticism of their perimeter players.
