MU is fine with playing a half-court game. They did it at Wisconsin and won. The Panthers need to close off the paint and not have MU drive it to the basket. Make MU a jump shooting team.

A win against Marquette will not put us in a discussion (for) an at large bid. I agree with this statement, unless the Panthers can nearly run the table in conference and lose in the title game an at-large bid is not going to happen. Just wanted to add this: Marquette is currently 12th in the RPI. The highest-rated regular-season opponent defeated by the Panthers in 2005-06 was No. 61 Montana and the highest-rated regular-season Milwaukee victim in 2004-05 was No. 116 Air Force. So a win over Marquette and about 13 more victories, including no losses to the "wrong" teams, would put the Panthers in the tournament field. Now, there's just the little matter of actually winning the game ...

Win or loose, I just want this game over so the Chicago North trolls can get the hell off our board.
As far as the actual game, need to hit our shots, can't be missing bunnies. Do that and we give ourselves a chance to win. Obviously we also need to continue the defensive effort we've seen this year.

Ninth in the nation in 3-point field-goal percentage defense and 63rd in transition defense.
That's a good place to start building an upset.

Have a good feeling about tonight. Not going to predict a win, but I will predict we keep it within 18.
(18 = How much Green Bay lost to them.)

I've just placed the traditional bet with my brother (Marquette Alum). I bet that Marquette wouldn't cover the 13.5 points spread. If we can slow them down like Wisconsin did, it makes it a lot harder for them to run up points in a hurry. At that point we just have to play better than Wisconsin did. So if we can keep it to a half-court style of game, and have a good defensive effort, I like my chances.
If we are to win this game, we need near flawless games from Kaylon, Tony, and our entire defense.
Milwaukee 68 Marquette 67
WAR PANTHERS!!!!!!!

Looking for an update...
Why has Kelm only played 4 minutes? Did he reinjure his shoulder?

Looking for an update... Why has Kelm only played 4 minutes? Did he reinjure his shoulder? Kelm picked up 2 fouls early and Rob didn't go back to him. Since I'm listening online I can't comment on the officiating or the technical on Gardner but we will have to play perfect in the second half because I have a feeling MU will get more calls in the second half. It is funny listen to their fans whine though 1130 is picking up there fans complaints pretty good.
