One of the many misfortunes of Panther and college basketball coverage in the J-S is the absence of preview boxes or matchup rundowns such as those that existed maybe 20-25 years ago. I was wondering what those on both sides of the fence thought about how the teams will look side by side (Gladly, we don't have to merely speculate as they do in football).
One could make an easy argument that this is the best Milwaukee team that Marquette has ever faced, though last year's was the first in which the Panthers were the "home" team.
Apart from Kaylon getting the obvious nod at point guard over Cadougan and DJO holding a clear-cut advantage over whomever we trot out at the 2, what do you guys think about how the teams compare?
Marquette is No. 1 in the Sagarin rankings and No. 9 on realtime; Milwaukee is No. 61 in the Sagarins and No. 111 on realtime.
For the record, I have Marquette winning by 15 to 20 (and no, I won't be "happy" with a loss).

Also missing from newsrooms today that were prevalent 20-25 years ago was the smell of Lucky Strikes, cheap brandy, and regret with a hint of shame. Times change.

Tough loss for MU. Expected them to win to the point that I didn't even watch the game. It will be interesting to see how they react against our Panthers.

It's tough to win on the road in college basketball ... anywhere.
Frankly, that's what makes the Golden Eagles' win at the Kohl Center so stunning.
They'll be back in their protective bubble Thursday at the Bradley Center.

This is all I will say (or quote-reference) about this game:

Was going to go to the game with a buddy, but he can no longer make it. We were going to try and pick up a pair of tickets before the game, but im wondering if any of the board members have a single ticket available, so i dont have to resort to scalping by myself. Still going to go to the game regardless, but thought id check here first.

Is this the last year of the contract? I've been boycotting this series for so long I don't even remember when it ends (hopefully soon).

13.5 point underdogs... much better than the usual 19-20 points dogs we have been as of late at the BC.
