I wonder how the team will stack up without her.

I wonder how the team will stack up without her. She's a once in a lifetime kind of talent. But the Panthers managed to win a bunch of league titles before she got here, and i suspect will be winning titles after she finishes her Panther career. i'm no more than a casual fan of soccer, but i've been quite impressed about how many other weapons the Panthers have on the field. It's not like Sarah is their only offensive option. There are plenty of other gals who can put the ball in the net.

Fun Sarah Hagen fact (from yesterday's Horizon League rundown: Sarah has 14 (and counting) HL Player of the Week honors in her career with the Panthers. The next-most-honored HL player had six in her entire career.

Unless if something dramastic happens, the Lady Panthers should get at least a First Round home game in the NCAA Tournament. The NCAA changed the format last summer for the Women's NCAA Tournament: www.uwbadgers.com/blog/2010/06/ncaa-announces-change-in-womens-soccer-championship-format.html"The NCAA Division I Championships/Sports Management Cabinet approved a recommendation to change the women's postseason championships to a 1-1-2-2 format beginning in the fall of 2011, the NCAA announced. Now, the first round of the NCAA tournament will be held at 32 on-campus sites and the following week, the second round will be held at 16 on-campus sites. The third round and quarterfinals will be played on the same weekend at four non-predetermined campus-based sites. The NCAA hopes that this will draw more fans to the games, by preventing a school that is not participating in the tournament from hosting the round." This is thinking really far down the road, but here is what the soccer stadium looks like IF the Panthers made it to the Women's College Cup: www.ksuowls.com/sports/2009/12/11/WSOC_1211094142.aspx?

I think the NCAA poll is more accurate - our loss WAS to Marquette, after all.
Still - CONGRATULATIONS! GLORY GLORY MILWAUKEE!

Interesting difference in the two polls: NCSAA has Marquette in the number 5 slot; SoccerAmerica has them 10th.

Lost 3-1 at Illinois State (9-5) today....could be a costly loss when it comes to getting a first round home game in the NCAA Tournament.

Nice win over GB Friday night, to finish regular season undefeated (again). Sarah Hagen got a hat trick, which puts her somewhere around a billion goals for her career
