Wow, the ladies do it again --- this time against Minny. And you'll never guess who scored the go-ahead goal.
Wish I was going to be in town for the Nationally televised contest this week at Englemann. Hope this team is greeted with the packed house they deserve!

Our athletic teams have to start capitalizing on these nationally televised games. Especially with electric atmospheres like tonight's games. So close but no cigar.

Can't win if you don't get a shot on goal.....Hagan needs help up top. I agree though great atmosphere last night.

I'll be there Friday - I'm expecting nowhere near the crowd, because of the obvious scheduling conflict with PantherFest. Ugh.

Would really have liked to been there but work's too crazy right now. I watched the game late last evening. Unfortunately, it was the fair result. MU was just too deep. They were double and triple marking Hagen and we still couldn't capitalize. I thought we showed some really nice possession ability the first half of the second half, but we got no really good scoring chances out of it. In the last ten minutes of regulation and the two OTs Marquette still had the legs while our players were losing theirs, and they started peppering our goal. The kids were straining to defend and our tender was really working hard, but there were just too many opportunities for the Gold. It's a damn shame we couldn't have hung on another 90 seconds, but like I said, it was a fair result.
Great atmosphere on TV. Outstanding showing by the students and it was nice to hear Mike Lovell interviewed. What a great Chancellor he is for those of us who value the athletics program.

Engelmann is in desperate need of some sort of upgrade beyond the field. From the student section it was impossible to hear the PA. Almost literally.

I rode past Englemann last night, it looked awesome. Easily the best atmosphere we've ever had for Women's soccer! I'm having difficulties deciding whether I'm going to Pantherfest or the match, such horrible scheduling by athletics on this one. As for upgrading Englemann, there was an Arch Spancrete Studio that looked at some developments on the south-west corner. Some were pretty decent, but they've long been archived in the archy vaults with little to no input from the AD. Also, I don't think the AD is going to make anymore major moves there with the "athletics village" thing on their minds. I have my own thoughts/ideas on that front but no one from the AD came to my Thesis Presentation (not surprising since we didn't have an Athletic Director at the time).
