I've been hearing that Lonnie's foot is not getting much better and that he might be a medical redshirt this season. Anyone else have any info on this possible scenario? Nothing inside as far as Lonnie, but a redshirt would do two things: 1. Help even out the classes, as he would become part of Kyle Kelm's class, of which Kyle is currently the only member. 2. He gets an extra year playing with Shaq. Don't underestimate brothers on the court together, ever. I'm not saying they're the Morris twins, but there's a certain underlying on-court rapport that comes naturally to brothers that you just can't coach.

Yes.
There's also seemingly tremendous depth at his position and an undeniable excess of players in his class. If Lonnie is willing to take the redshirt, it would seem to make great sense.

A fun exercise. Consider how many players from the 2008-09 roster, which finished 11-7 in the H League and 17-14 overall, would make next season's team. See how your selections compare with the rest of the board. Avery Smith, fifth-year senior Charlie Swiggett, junior Deonte Roberts, sophomore Riley Walker, freshman Ricky Franklin, fourth-year junior Deion James, fifth-year senior Zach Holt, junior Tone Boyle, junior Patrick Souter, freshman redshirt James Dean, freshman Tony Meier, freshman Kaylan Anderson, fourth-year junior Anthony Hill, sophomore Jerard Ajami, sophomore redshirt Burleigh Porte, junior Ryan Haggerty, freshman redshirt Jason Averkamp, junior James Eayrs, junior I think Jeter would take them all. It would also take him until mid-January to trim the rotation from 30 down to his top 15 guys.

Edited to include Ron Patten, a 6-6, 215-pound small forward from Whitefish Bay High School. Another positive to Lonnie taking a medical redshirt is that although he seems to be a pretty well built guy it would allow him to focus an entire season on lifting. I am a firm believer that Lonnie needs to accept the fact that he is a slasher and not a deep threat.

Lonnie was a 40% 3-point shooter his Freshman year. What he needs to do is learn to balance his inside and outside games. He settles far too much.

I don't need him to name the source, but you have to at least relay how it is reliable.
I could say, a reliable source told me the Tea Party was full of sh*t. You say, "name that source." I say, "Americans with a brain stem."
But you say something like that, I'm interested how it's out there. I'm not saying I don't believe you - I heard Bid was missing at the dinner last night. But if that's all you got going on it, you need to say so or elaborate if a person said so.

not going to say who my source is cause they asked but its about as reliable as I need. Sorry guys I can't feed you need to know more about it. If its true its bad for us. IMO BId hand a large role in many of our key victories, often more than jeter.
