While I would like to think that Jeter's comments about loyalty were addressed towards all possible jobs this year, not just the Bradley job, ESPN Insider lists him as a top candidate for the Dayton job.

This job may be too much to pass up, if he is offered. The A-10 is currently a better overall conference than the MVC (Bradley), and it offers the opportunity to recruit in a state with more top-tier talent than Wisconsin.

Gary Waters expressed interest in the job

Oh please not this again... The last go around with Jeter possibly leaving was bad enough and that was only a week ago

The A-10 doesn't have Butler, and Wisconsin is a way underrated recruiting state.

If the offer is reasonable he should take it. Whether he is a better fit than Gary Waters is a very good question.

Flyer's Freshman Juwan Staten (8.5 ppg and 5.4 apg) and Freshman Brandon Spearman are transferring out of Dayton. This is not a good sign of a great rebuilding opportunity for their next coach.

dibs on starting the following threads:
Jeter to Missouri St? Jeter to Missouri? Jeter to St. Bonaventure? Jeter to Kent St? Jeter to Wyoming? Jeter to Oklahoma? Jeter to Paris St. Germaine? Jeter to Tel Aviv? Jeter to US Paralympic Team? Jeter to Maryland Ave Montessori School?

I think people should just chill about this. Rob's name will probably pop up for a number of openings over the course of the next month or more. It's a sign that people have noticed the fine job he has done here.
When the dust settles, I think he'll be in Milwaukee. If he chooses to take a different opportunity, we'll move on. This is the way of college sports. We will always be at risk of being outbid. Very few schools aren't at the same risk.
A few months ago the majority of this board thought we were paying Rob too much and were obligated to him for too long. That's only true until someone else offers more. The tough question for the AD is figuring out what's fair in light of all the circumstances.

Does Milwaukee have a Maryland Ave? I know DC and Baltimore do.

Doubtful. Once again, we're weighing the opportunities - go and he's at Dayton for a long time, trying to build a tournament contender that doesn't have a much higher tourney ceiling than Milwaukee. Stay, and he's got a nearly complete roster that has the horses to make noise in the tourney next year.
I just don't see Dayton as a serious step up from Bradley. I know they have an even bigger fan base, more money, and a better conference, but it's not like Dayton is the giant step up from Milwaukee that he most likely could take next year if we go dancing.

Jeter to Paris St. Germaine? I think there may be legs to this rumor.

There's a Maryland Avenue right through campus. I'm not sure I get the reference, so I may very well just be missing the point, but always follow through.
