Northwestern is playing really well, this will be a tough game. It's hard to tell how they will plan coming off that overtime loss to Ohio State. I expect them to be very dissapointed they did not make the NCAA's. Hopefully we can capitalize on that. I like the proximity of the game and the quality opponent that we have. They are better than #a 4 seed the way they have been playing and Cleveland St. is not deserving of #2 seed. I expect us to play well and have a close game.

If anyone on Northwestern thought they would be getting an NCAA bid today, they should probably put the rubber cement down and step away.

Hack: NU fans WERE nervous, but not about the NCAA --- that dream became an extreme longshot by midseason when John Shurna went down with first an ankle and then a concussion. And when we stunk it up twice versus Penn State for what seemed like the 43rd straight time against them that pretty much sealed our fate. The bid we expected, but nothing is ever for sure so we had to be worried, was the NIT.
I was hoping you guys would make the Big Dance by beating Butler, as I like both NU and the Panthers. Now I have to be content that one of us will be in Round 2 of the NIT, but as a Wildcat fan first and always ... well, I have to be purple and white instead of black and gold.
But if the Panthers should win this week, then go all the way please.

Honestly, none of this matters.
It's just two teams playing with the same basketball.
We just need to get the Good Panthers and not the Gong Panthers tomorrow night.

They didn't lose to anyone who was not in the pomroy top 100. And in their last outing they took Ohio State to OT. We need to show up, rev it and get loud to support our team. |

We just need to get the Good Panthers and not the Gong Panthers tomorrow night. You'll practically know by intermission what the outcome will be. The Panthers are 18-3 when they shoot at least 40 percent from the field and 12-1 when they score at least 36 points by halftime. |
