So, I was at work today. Did anything of note happen?

In short, Butler has quite simply beaten two Sweet 16-caliber teams on its way to the Sweet 16.
I kept waiting for someone to say: "By the way, Shelvin Mack was second-team all-Horizon League."

My only regret for that Butler game last night was that Gus Johnson didn't call it. He might still have been hyperventilating this morning yet.
Regarding the matchup against the Badgers: my heart wants Butler, my brackets want Bucky.

On this topic, why would anyone ever pick against the Horizon League or Wisconsin (as long as Bo Ryan is the coach) in their first game of the NCAA tournament. Quite a bit of history now.

Tom Penders gets it! Jay Bilas: "Takes himself and his opinion far too seriously. I know he works hard and knows the game as a former player, but he goes over the top when he tries to demonstrate a play or gets too technical. He uses basketball terminology like hedging, showing and sealing and never lets the audience know what he’s talking about. He rarely gives credit to the mid-major teams, and when one of them makes the NCAA Tournament as an at-large entrant he throws a fit. . . . He works the Maui Classic every year with Raftery and Sean McDonough and tries to dominate the telecast with his academic ‘know it all’ approach to basketball. . . .Bilas rarely takes a stance on coaching scandals and other controversial topics that Gottlieb will grab by the throat. He needs to lighten up and let the game flow once in awhile. . . .I wonder if he’s given any thought to becoming a professor." www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/118297114.html#comments

I used to like Dicky V, but the game has passed him by a bit. Jay Bilas is a hack. I don't know why Dicky V is feeding his ego telling him he should oversee the selection process. The only thing Jay Bilas should be overseeing is the laundering of the towels at Duke.
