Don't get me wrong, I like the floor. It's just the lettering that bugs me. I thought the same thing when Iowa went to black end zones/yellow letters.

Well, with VCU/Butler playing in the first semi-final, a mid-major will be playing on Monday night!

So, now in the Final Four we have Butler, a conference rival from whom Milwaukee swept the season series, and VCU, a school with a profile nearly identical to our own. Here's my message to the Panther coaches and players: "You see! You see! I see things as they are and I say, 'No!' Uh, wait, you see things as they are not and you s- Wait, uh, you see things, do you see things as they are? What do you say when you see things?" Know what I mean? I thought you couldn't top your post from last week. You just did. So, what do I have to do to get a Tony?

I do not care at all about the late matchup today. It's a shame that we won't be able to have two mids in the championship game. Yes, but we will have one. H League vs. CAA for mid-major bragging rights. It really doesn't get much better than that. J. Bias should be put on leave until he offers a national apology. After not saying a word about Clemson getting in with ZERO rpi top 50 wins and a high RPI, and going after VCU who clearly deserved to be in and now has made an epic run through Kansas to the final four, J Bias should be publicly chastised on an ESPN 1 hour special. Unlike last year, this years Butler run has sparked several conversations involving the Milwaukee Panthers, and besides Digger calling us Milwaukee-Wisconsin, everyone has gotten our name right. Lets hope the run continues. During the Kentucky - UNC game, I said if UNC loses Butler will win it all this year, lets hope I'm right.

Kansas' non-conference schedule:
vs. Longwood vs. Valparaiso vs. North Texas vs. Texas A&M Corpus Christi vs. Ohio vs. Arizona vs. UCLA vs. Memphis vs. Colorado State vs. USC at California vs. Texas-Arlington vs. Miami (Ohio) vs. UMKC at Michigan
Sign of the tournament: "You're not in Kansas anymore!"

Slightly off topic, now if we could get the BCS to hold a football playoff and witness the likes of Boise State succeed like Butler and VCU have succeeded . . .

So, what do I have to do to get a Tony? Were you involved in the production of "Scarsdale Surprise?"

Unable to figure out a way to re-seed the Final Four, the NCAA has decided to categorize the remaining participants by other means. The first game will be called the Purists Classic and the second game will be dubbed the Pirates Showcase.
Please remember to tip your waitress.

I take anything any coach ever says about his/her employment status with an enormous grain of salt but I do enjoy Smart's final statement of fact in this quote from an interview with Dan Patrick:
"I got a great job here Dan. My focus is 1,000 percent on VCU and I love it here, my wife loves it here, and by the way we are in the Final Four."

Nice article on ESPN on Howard: sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=6266899. I LOL'd at this: Through it all, Howard kept on being what Mack calls "the weirdest person I've ever met in my entire life." "Like, remember that UConn-Syracuse game [in 2009] that went six overtimes?" teammate Ron Nored asks. "Well, after the third one, he texts me: 'Do you think Buffalo Wild Wings had anything to do with this?'"

There was also an article on ESPN's college basketball page about Bruesewitz from Wisconsin, about his crimson cornrows. I think it makes him look like a little girl. That being said, He plays much better than he looks. Wisconsin had a great season and Bruesewitz was a big part of that, and he was the only one other than Jarmusz that was told the time and place of the Butler sweet 16 game. I think Wisconsin will continue to get players like Bruesewitz, and I don't think any of you Wisconsin fans would have a problem with that. For a laugh go check out the article.
