Outstanding! After just getting back from Indy and seeing my 13th game in 10 days (including seeing Northwestern play twice), I thought I had seen my last college basketball game until next November. A game in Evanston is a tremendous surprise.
I really like the way Northwestern plays, and don't let th RPI numbers (whatever they are) fool you. That team is GOOD. I watched them take Minnesota apart and then come within an eyelash of beating the best team in the country. We have nobody as talented as Juice Thompson or John Shurna. That said, this is not an impossible matchup for us. NU does not press, and they don't have outstanding athleticism. Moreover, their big guys are not real strong, and they can be foul prone.
So I love this matchup, both because it's accessible and because it should be competitive. Let's keep this season going!

Well, this is a nice matchup. I expect a loose and free flowing Panther team to show up Wednesday. There's nothing to lose now, so let's hope we see this team play to their potential.
Any word if we'll be sending fan buses down?

Agree with all that Fran writes.
Anthony Hill will be a tough matchup for the Wildcats, as they're a team that plays without any rugged interior presence.
It's a great shooting gym, so I would expect something of a higher-scoring affair.
Great seats will be available, so I would encourage everyone to make the short trip.

ESPN3.com is better than TV as it's free for everyone. Get those cables out and watch it on your flat screen. Be there if you can, if not, do this.....
Northwestern is used to playing teams with good post games so while I don't see big issues for us there covering someone, it's certainly no walk in the park for us to score there. We need good 'D' on the parameter and solid shooting by our offense to stay in this game.
