Are we glued to Wash. St on this guys predictions or what? I'm going to the game but I'd like something a tad bit closer. The two day lead time isn't much but it's way better than sittin home wishin' we'd got in!

San Antonio is currently leading McNeese State 66-58 with 2:21 left in the Southland final. McNeese State has an auto-bid to the NIT if they lose. McNeese State's RPI is currently 147.

Uh oh, Simpson sighting at the MAC title game. Maybe he'll try to f*** us further by ensuring Kent State wins?

How would a Kent State win hurt us? Not seeing that. Kent State making the NIT would potentially hurt our seed.

So of the 12 current auto bids who will likely miss NCAA's where do you think we rank?
According to the NITology they rank like this:
Missouri St UAB Charleston Vermont Fairfield Milwaukee Coastal Carolina Florida Atlantic Murray st. Texas Southern Bethune Cookman
And now McNeese St. would be added in as the 12th auto bid.

That is 14 auto-bids.
And we have at worst the fourth-best profile among them.
Sure looks like a 6 seed to me.

Huh? Iona is 0-2 against the RPI top 50 and 6-6 against the RPI top 100. Charleston is 1-2 against the RPI top 50 and 2-4 against the RPI top 100. Milwaukee is 3-3 against the RPI top 50 and 6-5 against the RPI top 100. Sometimes, you just scratch your head.

Sunday's update nitology.com/bracket031211-2.htmlI hate when people say if a school won't make the NCAA's, well NIT. Baylor, Iona, Nebraska, Maryland, Northwestern, Arkansas and Valpo might not be in the NIT field. It's hard when there is now 14 auto-bids.

Still not getting it, which means that his way is probably the way it will go.
Fairfield (RPI 98, SOS 242) is 0-1 against the RPI top 50 and 4-3 against the RPI top 100.
Vermont (RPI 95, SOS 230) is 0-2 against the RPI top 50 and 1-4 against the RPI top 100.
Milwaukee (RPI 92, SOS 109) is 3-3 against the RPI top 50 and 6-5 against the RPI top 100.
Who the heck has the better profile here?

They are playing some good ball too. NU is more deserving than the Golden Goooofers at this point. I'd love to see a UWM-Northwestern match up in Madison Square Garden. Ah, dreams. Here's hoping Harvard makes the Big Dance.

Who the heck has the better profile here? Milwaukee. I'm not going to put a whole lot of stock in these projections though. I understand its a neat idea and and everything else, but it has a lot of eyebrow raising picks IMO. Not that its easy. The fact that they have VCU as the last team on the 4 line, and Jerry Palm at cbssports has VCU in the NCAA, just shows how incredibly soft the bubble is this year. Still the possibility of a couple of NCAA bids to be stolen today that could shake the landscape. I think we are guaranteed a 6 seed or higher though.
