Apologize if this isn't the right thread to post this, but does anyone else find it annoying for Horizon League tournament games that the PA announcer has to be all "neutral" sounding and not show any emotion/favoritism whatsoever? I'm assuming that's mandated by the Horizon League, but it's just a pet peeve of mine during past years of watching Milwaukee in home tourney games. It seems like the team that earned the home court should have the right to proceed like business as usual.

If a team earned home court advantage they should get all aspects of that advantage. That includes the energy a screaming announcer gives to the players and the crowd.

I disagree. I think being in the home arena with home fans is more than enough of a reward. A "neutral" announcer is just fine with me, as is the time honored custom of introducing both teams with the lights on and without all the piped in music and video. I understand all that hoo-ha (even if I don't personally like it) in real home games, but the tournament should be a celebration of the whole conference and all the participants. It's one of the things I love most about league tournaments.

It does seem odd that Bob will not yell Tooooone Boooyle.
I do think it's the right move for the Horizon League to do that.

Green Bay taking Wright State the wire, down 2 with a little over 2 minutes left.
Detroit and Cleveland State in control late in the second.
Valpo started slow and trailed by 10, but is up 9 at half over Youngstown State.

CSU almost gave up a 20+ point lead, I know it was down to 5 at one point.
