Line opened Butler -3. Has now moved to -2.5. Money is coming in on Milwaukee. "We're nobody's underdog."

I'm sure that despite the comments on the Valpo Fan Board, most of their fans realize that the better team won. We had fresher legs and for the most part we were quicker. Slower, tired players often have no choice but a foul to keep their opponent from scoring. I saw some fouls that could've been called on them and some that could've been called on us. The key is being consistent in your calls and I thought that overall the refs were. The call that Drew contested to the point of getting a T was legit. We were wondering what he was b*****g about. and finally concluded it was just an attempt to intimidate the refs. At any rate, congrats to Valpo for a great season. I'm sure most their fan base has more class than some of the posters on their board are showing right now. Not all of this is directed at the author of the above quote, but I thought this was a good place to get everything in. 1. It was 1 poster on our board, that's it. "Some" is a bit of an exaggeration. 2. I think a couple of folks here *could* cut BWood's mom a little slack. It's not as if she's the first parent in the history of the world to go postal because her son's team is about to lose what might be the final game of the season. You don't have to sink to her level by calling her names. Be the bigger person that some here are suggesting you be (for that matter, are we really the first message board in history to let sour grapes get the best of us, in the wake of a possibly season-ending heartbreaking defeat? You could cut us a bit of slack too) 3. As for the Tech, to answer your question, Homer was upset because he felt Cory got fouled on the other end, and the foul on Little was extremely ticky-tack. It looked that way on TV, but honestly, I wouldn't want to overrule someone who was actually there and had a better view. Having said all that, no one on the Valpo message board believes we lost because of the refs, not even the one guy who critiqued the turnout. To clean up a couple of other points, no one has expressed shock this year about the HL tourney format. A couple of people think the format is unfair (and they always have), and one person -- yours truly -- hates it for different reasons entirely (I don't think it's unfair at all) -- but the majority of posters over there actually favor the HL format. I used to hang out on this board a couple of years ago (along with all the other HL message boards). As one person alluded to, even this board (as has every message board in cyberspace) has been known to dabble in uncivilized behavior. The old saw about people in glass houses might be worth some contemplation. I said a couple of weeks ago that your team was setting a good example for ours. I continue to believe that. I congratulate the Panthers and of course will be rooting for your team tomorrow night, as I don't think the NIT will take 3 HL teams.

Interesting tidbit for out-of-staters not able to make the game. This game will be available on national radio through Westwood One affiliates ... Wayne Larrivee is doing the play-by-play, not sure who is handling the color (maybe Dave Odom since they've been paired together before on radio).
Would love to hear a Tony Meier "DAGGER!" around the 2-minute mark in the second half.

In my past dealings with stl both at The Arc and on message boards, I've found him to be nothing but a class act.
When I watched the game Sunday at my friend's house, I realized that some of the fouls I originally believed were unnessarily rough were in fact good common fouls. All in all, it was an extremely well-officiated game.
Having said that, here are three people I'd love to see among the 10,000 or so on hand for tonight's game: Ted Valentine, Mike Sanzere and Rick Hartzell.

Also said we're getting close to a sellout. A quick check of Ticketmaster finds that there are still tickets available in the corners of the 400 level.
Have to assume those might be gone by gametime.
