"You ... don't want to go into Cleveland State like this."
You don't want to go into Cleveland State -- or anywhere else -- without Ant Hill or Kaylon Williams. That's one of the ways in which this game presented more hazards than rewards.
Meantime, what would have been gained by winning this game? A sure-fire CIT berth?
Now it's back to playing for the NCAA or NIT ... hopefully with Ant and Kaylon.

It's high time we bow out of this completely meaningless game. What did we earn? A return trip from Buffalo two years from now? Fantastic. That should draw 2500.

I texted with one of the coaches tonight - Evan did not play. Someone screwed up the box score.

Except that in the event we're actually highly ranked in the RPI, this game could end up being crucial. Cleveland State is counting their blessings because they drew Old Dominion.

Milwaukee would get attention by virtue of: A) Our Sweet Sixteen run/Bruce Pearl B) Butler C) Parity News outlets don't divvy up attention by region, they divvy up attention by conference. Being a mid-major doesn't hurt since the attention is so focused now on finding the next Cinderella, but playing in the same conference as (and beating) Butler is our ticket to stardom in the tournament. Also, people still remember 2005. Ahhh, just like I said. When was the last time this team was mentioned on the front page on the Urinal Sentinel and Head article in the sports section......regardless if MU or UW didn't play...

I can think of a few times. Deion's buzzer beater for one. When we beat Butler two years ago. At least once earlier this year.
There's a difference between being featured once in a while and being featured consistently.

I know where your coming from.... But my point is when can we really guarentee the exposure... when we know its due. These stories will be due to the consistency of the team and the revival of our not so supportive fan base.
