I know this isn't an important game in terms of where we finish for the Horizon League Tourney but I am still very excited for this game!
I love bracket buster weekend because its that one weekend every year where the focus is on "Mid-Majors"

Such a quandary over how to play this game.
There really is no easy answer.
The competitor in me wants to go full-throttle for victory with our walking wounded Kaylon Williams, Ryan Allen and Lonnie Boga playing major minutes so as not to interrupt our mounds of momentum.
But the level-headed me says the game against CSU five days later is astronomically more important. A win there and the Panthers are on the fast track to at least the No. 2 seed.

I'm hoping Missouri State beats the hell out of Valpo two days before they hit the road for Green Bay.

That works too. "Beat the hell"... meant that to be physically. Don't care about the final score.

My take is like Herm Edwards, you play to win the game. We are on a winning streak you don't do anything different that what we have normally done over the last couple of weeks. Of course the CSU game is bigger but I think we should treat the bracketbusters as business as usual.

Your on a roll. This game can only help in getting any kind of postseason play. It's hard to switch it on and off. Right now this team is ON lets keep it going. Bulls D-Board www.ubfan.com/board/

You play to win and Jeter said it as well.
Maybe big Mitch can get some playing time in this game.

Here's an outstanding statistic, and probably one of the huge reasons we're on the winning streak we are:
According to statsheet.com, Milwaukee is second in the Horizon League in free throws attempted (378), and first in the league in opponents' free throws attempted (276). We have made 23 fewer free throws all season than our opponents have even taken. That's the very definition of Jeter's philosophy.
Here's a task for our team: by the end of the year, set a definite goal to have made more than your opponents have attempted.

My stomach hit the floor when Tone missed four straight last night.

Either play the bench or just forfeit this game. This game should mean as much as a scrimmage. Regardless if we win or lose, I'm only thinking about Cleveland State before and after this game.

Dunne said it best. Suddenly playing not to win would jeopardize the run we're on. Should we not win out, the CIT is still a very real possibility. Postseason play is something we didn't see last year, and even the CIT is progress. The Herm Edwards quote is brilliant. Hopefully Big Mitch will see more PT, I've been impressed with him in limited minutes. If we play half-assed (let alone forfeit) I'm seriously considering cancelling my season tickets and switching my allegiances. I'd rather be a Badger than root for a team that doesn't play to win. Thankfully, as evidenced by the 2nd half against Niagara last year, we have too much pride to do that. Rant off.

Expanding my statline:
Milwaukee is 43rd nationally in free throws attempted, with 621. (Detroit is first, with over 770.) We're 124th nationally in opponents' free throws attempted, with 497. Loyola has actually allowed six fewer attempts than us over all, but two more than us in conference play.

Bulls D-Board www.ubfan.com/board/Well said. Not only that but there are other teams in the horizon still fighting for an NCAA at large birth, and we would be doing them an incredible disservice by handling this game any differently than we handled the Valpo game. Lets smoke this team by 30 and get 8 in a row.
