Butler will be playing angry, but so will we. And remember, the last time we got blown out like we did tonight, we responded by beating Detroit and Butler consecutively. Pretty good Sunday.

Expect the unexpected with this team. The finest mathematicians from Oxford and Harvard can't predict what this team will do in a given game.

Expect the unexpected with this team. The finest mathematicians from Oxford and Harvard can't predict what this team will do in a given game. It's easy -- they win the games they really take seriously. Problem is they don't do that for enough of them.

Given the team's mentality this year, I shouldn't be surprised we won but considering how bad we've been against Butler at Hinkle in recent years, I'm rather surpised. Awesome win! Now if they could only do it CONSISTENTLY...

This game more than any other certainly justifies our preseason expectations. This has got to be the most underperforming Horizon League team in recent memory.

For those keeping track, this is the first time since 2004-2005 than Butler lost to the same team more than once in the same season. Guess who that team was.
Also: Matt Howard fouled out for the third time in five games in the last 2 years against Milwaukee. The most important key to any of our 3 wins against Butler these last couple years is that we more than any other team have figured out how to eliminate Howard from the game.

Going forward, I'll be utilizing the George Costanza "Opposite" strategy when prognosticating this team.

Then I assume the stat was for regular season play only. (The Panthers did the same thing in 05-06, FTR)
