It will come down to the 3-point shooting. If they fall like the 2nd half against Detroit, there's no reason our Panthers can't be more than competitive maybe even pull one out. If they aren't finding the net, it could be another CSU. Or maybe we'll consistently run set plays.......gotta keep the faith. Absolutely agree. Whether they're falling or not, the Panthers will keep jacking them up.

Not trying to sound unkind, but the Anthony Hill from the Youngstown State game a month and a day ago has left and gone away. If anyone sees him, could you please return him to the U.S. Cellular Arena, 400 W. Kilbourn Avenue, Milwaukee, WI?
He's the one who obliterated the Bullldogs on the blocks three times a year ago and would be a significant factor in any kind of upset bid tonight. His presence would help minimize the flurry of 3-pointers of which some on here speak.
His mental and physical availability and the willingness of Kaylon Williams to post Zach Hahn are quite possibly the only two advantages the Panthers enjoy tonight. You have got to force Andrew Smith and Hahn to work defensively, keep Matt Howard off the boards and make the rest of the defenders scramble on the perimeter and the only way to do that is to find Ant Hill.

How many Horizon League games has Butler won in a row?

Twenty-two.
Every game since Feb. 18, 2009: Milwaukee 63, Butler 60.

Yes, it's a regular season mark.

Yes, it's a regular season mark. Butler is now 51-5 in regular season league games under Stevens and now has winning streaks of 21 and 22 games. Not nearly as impressive as what Valpo did in the Mid-Con (according to them), but not a bad record.

We'll see, but as I mentioned above, I'd be surprised to see a Hahn on Williams matchup for just the reason you mentioned. I think it's more likely that Hahn will be on McCallum, who's much more of a jump-shooter than a penetrator. We'll certainly see it at times as Butler guards will switch a lot of ball screens.

Yeah, because the Southern Utahs, Chicago States, and UMKCs of the world is like facing the '27 Yankees.

We need to guard the perimeter tonight in order to be competitive...period. Ant has proven he can capably defend Howard, and although Andrew Smith has a nice game around the basket, he often has a tough time finishing all of his nice takes.
Mack, Hahn, and Vanzant on the perimeter worries the sh*t out of me.
If we can play 2 halves of consistent defense we will have a chance to win. Our offense is streaky and will likely remain that way, but if we can just play consistent defense... As someone else mentioned fighting through screens and getting to the shooters will be key.
Kelm would be a nice player to use in this game IMO.

"Don't sleep on the Kangaroos."
Or the Gentlemen of Centenary.
In regards to what nohops said, I don't think it's ever been more important for the Panthers to get off to a fast start, as they did in the 2008 overtime game here. Get off to a slow start in front of a sparse crowd and it could be a quiet burial.
As we've all seen before, a crowd of 3,000 can really rock at The Cell, very much unlike the B.C.

Well play consistent defense and limit open perimeter looks is a big check so far in the first half. The team is playing well, no big foul trouble, and turnovers haven't been bad outside of a 3 minute stretch. Lets come out as the same team in the 2nd half and win this one.
Its really fun watching this team when they compete. Lets go Milwaukee!

Great game thus far. Hard to believe how up and down the team is this year.
