This issue is being raised because we just got whipped by a team playing the type of game that a: was our identity when we were successful, and b: was the style we were told would be maintained when Jeter became coach. If this program were winning like we all though it would be at this juncture, the point would be moot. People are pissed off and rightfully so. Maybe Super King can read the following and maintain Jeter only agreed to continue Pearl's style until he got his own players in there:
And, much discussed in the changeover of head coaches has been UWM's style of play. The Panthers became well-known for their pressure defense and up-tempo offense. While Jeter has made it known he will stress fundamentals, good shots, and taking care of the basketball, he has also made it clear up-tempo basketball and pressure defense is part of the package. After all, the 1991 NCAA Division III National Championship team Jeter captained at UW-Platteville averaged 97.4 ppg while collecting an average of 15.8 steals per game.
"We'll dive after loose balls. We'll take charges. We'll take good shots. We'll press. We'll get after teams," Jeter said. "You'll see our point guard blast the ball up the court and all the things people appreciate, but fundamentally, we are going to be sound. I think people appreciate the little things and the fundamentals of the game and the tenacity with which our guys play the game."

Would like this team to be more aggressive. Have been waiting for us to get more athletic so we can press and trap more. Still does not seem to be happening. I think the talent is improved but personality of the team is very bland. Frankly it is getting easier to eat my season tickets more often and stay home on an extra cold night. If we do not win or be in the hunt for the conference title we at least need some personality and fun. Coaches can get more animated but saying that this does not mean carping at the officials, grimaching, smirking, throwing your hands up. standing on the sideslines shaking your head while the other head coaches are talking and coaching up their players rather than adopting a victim posture with the referees. Still say way too much of that smirking and poor me attitude which has to rub off on theplayers eventually. We need to get tougher

When you figure out the personality of this team, let me know.

I'm not expecting a win. I would like to see Kelm, Allen and Souter get more minutes, especially Kelm.

I'd like to see more Kelm and Allen, but not so much Souter. I think he has upside, but we need a competent Kaylon Williams in this game (and every game). Where's the guy that lead the Valley in assists? I've mostly witnessed too much dribbling into bad situations.

Like others have mentioned, this game is very tough to predict. We could win! We could win by ten points! We could also get ran out of the gym within the first 10 minutes. If Ryan and Wisconsin have the opportunity to blow us out of the water, they will do just that.
Like I've mentioned before I don't really see why we continue to play this series with an agreement like were a low-major. This game should be scrapped in the future for a 2-1 with Xavier ect. or another quality home and home like Northern Iowa. Playing Wisconsin at the Kohl Center is a test.

Well hopefully UW will be looking past this game for their showdown in Milwaukee this weekend with MU. Sneak out a W at the Kohl Center and give Panther Nation an early XMas present

Everyone in this state is so far up Wisconsin's a*&, it's like they own the whole negotiation game. Moreover, it doesn't help that Jeter was a disciple of Ryan(aka badger look-alike). But back to the topic at hand, why does Wisconsin deserve a 4-1 deal more then Marq. Why don't we just shop around for what's in our best interest. Wisconsin and Marquette have sure seemed to be looking for there interest. How can we be a legit Mid-major when we're constantly letting others get the upper hand, while looking like a push over for other schools. Marq. I'm sure is just waiting on the sidelines to see if and what the next Wisconsin/UWM deal will be. You can bet your botton $.02 on that.

The way we play now, these games with MU and UW have no benefit to us. These are not our only non-conference losses, we have plenty more to go along with them. We need to get our sh*t together and get some wins, period. We can't do that against other good mid-majors right now, so what's the point of playing these games. We don't have enough benefit to justify them. How about just trying to schedule with good mid-majors?

This game is over before it even starts....Still gonna watch it though, must be that sado side of me. Badger Bigs will pack it in on Hill and we will be left with our dismal outside brick shooters. Thats if we can get it up court. If they did any sort of scouting I'm sure some pressing is in store and we will be more than glad to hand it over to the big red. Might even be able to see a slam or two, WI that is, can't recall seeing one from Milwaukee in the past five yrs.

That's a great way to challenge yourselves, get better and garner some support and coverage of your program. Maybe they can schedule Parkside... or MATC... or sign up for intramurals? At this point, sadly, I'm not sure those would all be guaranteed wins.
